Not so much a game but an image of a single scene of a potential game.

Let me ask, if I have 3 in-game item images (guns, armor, medical boxes...) with completely different styles, how can I make Stable Diffusion synchronize the styles? Thank you

meh, I would repaint the entire thing at the end and just use what you got as reference. I like your sketch much more. So much more character.

This stuff will never be on autopilot like many A.I naysayers suggest. There is no one button answer and never will be specific to the user's preferences without user input.

It's interesting but how far can you go with this? A simple VN possible with AI? When I look back at the Gameboy or PlayStation visual novels, it seems like it's really possible with today's AI

I think it needs a final touch, you somehow need to convey depth on the area below which is much further away from your characters on the foreground. Maybe wash out the colors a bit and blend them in with the rest of the environment orange/yellow hue.

Good idea. Thanks for sharing

are ther any similar tutorials to this one ? i'm looking all over the place but i can't find any usually the use AI within blender to do 3d stuff not blender to produce 2d

Good tips. Now if it were possible to connect an AI to Godot (for example) and get it to help with the actual game engine side...

you missed the most important step!! Take it over to LeiaPix and turn it into a 3D depth map style image to really see it wow even more, because those colors are awesome and will look unreal!! Makes me wish it was a video game with that art style.

This is way easier than messing around with open pose editor. But still a hassle to transfer photos from phone to computer. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The difference between me and a real artist is that I would have just taken the first line art to color pass and shipped it. In my eyes, its good enough because I dont know what real art looks like. You need a trained artist for that.

You don't use an inpainting model to inpaint? I would think it would give better results.

Invoke the style in the prompt will give you much easier time even though the model is for illustration. give a hint of color is another trick aswell. sometimes i forgot to change the prompt too and relied too much on the AI render and gambling from it. xd

I really liked the sketch and was sad to see some of the details butchered, I do like the finished piece but some parts I liked in your original sketch got lost in translation, maybe doing it in separate layers for the first couple steps could help? Like each person, object, vehicle, and the background on different layers which are then merged together halfway through the process
@pjgalbraith11 ай бұрын
Yeah this piece is definitely stretching the tooling, we really need a good SDXL lineart model! Separate layers doesn't work that well in my experience because you end up with inconsistent lighting and shading. Inpainting helped but another approach is; lineart -> speed paint -> AI -> overpaint. That would give a lot more control and retain consistency but also take longer (although nowhere near as long as doing everything from scratch). I've also experimented with 3d mockups instead of lineart. Since this was just an experiment I didn't spend much time overpainting.
@pjgalbraith11 ай бұрын
I'd also add for pieces that are more straightforward it works scarily well, like simple character portraits. At the other end of the spectrum, a piece with overlapping characters, exaggerated foreshortening, or complex poses is a pain to make work.

I'd love to see it! The hybrid approach is the way for sure. It's a lot of fun to work with AI, but also at times infuriating 🤣
