I am surprised that you would make an instructional video for your product in a disorganized space with background conversations and noise, and shadows of people walking through the set. It is very distracting, though your instructor is very good. It seems disrespectful, almost more of your own selves than of your customers.

QUESTION: If the iPhone (in my case iPhone 14 Pro Max) wants to use the LED light under water ... how does that look? Do I need to turn "flash" off?
@Outex6 ай бұрын
Yes, the Outex glass port is large enough not only to accommodate the different lenses, but also the LED light. Keep in mind the water will obviously have an impact compared to air. And you'll have to manage potential reflection inside the housing. But you can administer all of the above accordingly.

I've been eyeing on this forever but I looked away because of this one last question: can this entry kit fit a Leica Q2? Leica Q2 is a fixed lens camera with a size of Dimensions (W x H x D) Approx. 130 × 80 × 91.9 mm (5.12 × 3.15 × 3.62 in). From what I see on this video.. you need to remove the lens for the body to get through. So.. will it work? I understand the pro kit will work for sure but I'm still looking at this one. Thanks.

Will the touch screen of a smartphone work underwater when pressure is applied to it and the silicone case is pressed? What about positioning the phone inside the case? The case is universal and there is too much space in it for some phones, the camera will always be slightly offset from the center of the dome. Or change over time. Is it possible to use a wide-angle camera in this case? won't the edges of the dome get into the camera lens? I would like to know about this before buying.
@Outex Жыл бұрын
More information at www.Outex.com under Questions pages/menus. It's possible to use wide angle lenses with either the dome and flat lens ports without vignetting. The dome also accommodates 3rd party accessories such as external phone lenses etc. The flat and dome lenses are exchangeable. The Outex system is modular. The cover is designed to hold the lens port in place so you can center the phone as well as the lens you're using if you notice aberrations the dome doesn't already correct. When underwater pressure confuses the touchscreen you can use the hard buttons to trigger stills and video. Most phones come programmed for that by default, and many allow you to customize the hard buttons for additional functions beyond shutter triggers. Again, more tips, tricks, and insights on the website. Enjoy

@@Outex Thank you for the response. So the washer is the part inset in the dome’s nut with the o-ring, correct? Looks like it’s meant to rest against the silicone housing while the dome turns/tightens freely? Is it bad that I removed the nut and then reinstated it?

@@zachbosch7268 The Dome washers for the phone are tightly connected to the dome itself. That’s normal.

@@Outex respectfully, you didn’t answer my question. This sort of information would be useful to include with the product. Even your demo video entirely omits the dome attachment (yet it’s clearly visible in the shot). Think of the washer as the "female" to the cover lip's "male". So the "open" end goes "down" towards the cover, and the "closed" end goes "up" against the nut, which in turn threads them together creating the seal. You can see additional details on our Installation and Questions pages/menus of the Outex website.
