If you can hold out for another nine months, then yes the 17 will probably be a better option on paper but there’s always a new phone coming, it’s an endless cycle 😄

It seems like Apple’s design is all about teenagers. They know who their target audience is. The only thing I found useful was the writing tools, but even those were unreliable sometimes. I got the 16 Pro Max because I wanted better performance and battery life, but the performance is there, but the battery life is not what I expected in a phone. Maybe the iPhone 18 Pro Max will use silicon-carbon batteries or stacked battery tech, but it’s still better battery life than my previous iPhone, which I’m grateful for!

If I had a 15 pro max, I'd be waiting probably 3 or 4 years to upgrade - it's an epic phone that can do most of what the 16 pro max can! If you upgrade every year, you'll see smaller 'upgrades' and probably feel disappointed. Thanks for watching my video!

@@danielshapiro2472 I also was not expecting a new button! 😂 to be fair, the MagSafe case works nicely with the camera control. There’s not really a cut out but more like a pressure sensitive area. I think they want it to be like a mirrorless camera and that’s why they put it where they did! Thanks for watching

how much screen on time do you get before having to charge it again?

@@tiko545 the whole day literally, I work from 8-5 and use a lot on free time and when i get off still like at 70% then the gym and stuff i think it went down to like 40 something before bed still a good amount left, but i started charging only to 80% and charging to 100% if going somewhere where I’ll need like a concert or whereever i’m hanging out

Same I’m on 14 pro and luckily I didn’t have battery health issues I’ve had over 2 years and at 89 percent it’s been a great phone. I think 17 pro will have design change but rumor say that every year lol

Each year it's very minimal, it really hasn't changed much. What's different from last year? A camera button, that's it..

I'm enjoying my 16pro max camera button hasn't bothered me in fact I've started using it more.

I would say a 13PM to a 16 pro max is a pretty hefty upgrade! Better screen, battery, cameras, processor, AI - should be an easy decision? Although, I have heard a lot of people say the 13PM is the complete iPhone. Never had one myself though. Are you tempted by the 16 Pro Max? Thank you very much for watching! 😀

If I may offer my opinion, having the 13pm and the 16pm, as an average everyday user, minus a few things from the 16, I feel the 13pm is a better phone. I had better reception on the 13 and even with ios18 for me it’s a more stable device. I don’t have any of the issues that i do on the 16pm. I don’t scrutinize and look at the devices under a microscope like a lot of people do to unrealistic standards, but I talk, text, take pictures and video and regular media consumption. I don’t care about the AI gimmicks or none of that and that seems to be a big talking point. Some shots on my 13pm come out better than the 16pm and vice versa. Sorry if I’m rambling… but you’re not gaining much imo getting the 16pm from the 13pm. It’s a great phone, but to me it wasn’t worth the purchase. I’m on my 3rd 16pm because of display issues and keyboard lag and other issues and each device it has been the same. The 17 series would probably feel like more of an upgrade.

@@HelloRenauldoThanks. Yesterday morning I decided, so I had the battery replaced (it was on 82% but I changed it anyway) in an apple store. I spent 80900CLP (aprox 82 dollars) and I bought the time to wait for 17PM.

Haha, thanks for watching! Totally get your points. I’d just rather not have to replace the battery in a few years like I was trying to do on my 14 pro. Plus, 80% charge on a 16 pro max for me is more than enough. It’s substantially more than a full charge on my old 14 pro! I’m usually finishing a day around 40/45%. Obviously I bump it up to 100 on days where I need it (travel, etc). But if I’m WFH or in the office, no need to have it in standby above 80% IMO!

Sensible comment. I honestly find it totally stupid.

it's perfect for the new android phones that have a 6000+ mAh battery. when 80% of your battery's capabity is or almost is same as your full battery was a year ago it's a little more acceptable. It's certainly more confusing with iPhones

The only sensible reason is it's for people who intend to sell their iphone within a year. I mean they already have the intention to upgrade their iphone the following year so they want to keep the battery as healthy as possible so that they can make good price when selling it.

Totally agree. I would appreciate the full potential of my phone over the small extra gain of battery health.
