And what do we have at 1:33 in? George, dressed in what would become his little brother Angus' person for life as the frontman for AC/DC - the schoolboy and his guitar.

when the industry had musicians who cared about what chords and notes they were gonna sing and play instead of what wig or chain they were gonna wear.

I think Harry and George were the absolute vanguard driving Australian music on to the rest of the world. They did it with class. with style and absolute dignity. Those two guys should be on Australia's bank notes. Great video and thank to the guys who made it possible.

Love is in the air was not all that great. It was okay. But there was hundreds of better one's out there. Neil diamond wrote many great songs .. the bee gees.are another great group of song writer's. Not to forget the country song writer's we had back then. Who were just as good or better.

If it wasn't for the fact that stevie wright was there also writing with George young there would be no Vanda and young. Stevie wrote at least the first few songs that where Released on their first album for the easybeats. When stevie was told that his music was to soft and stopped writing. that is when harry Vanda started to write. So i want to thank Stevie for his decision to stop writing for the easybeats. But went on to write his own solo music career. If he had still been writing for the easybeats there would be no AC DC or any body else. So let's thank him for that. He was also a great performer , song writer and legend. He was the best front man they had.

Luckily I got to work with them, years ago. A bass player and vocalist in a band, I got to experience their tenacity in the studio. They chose a song for us to record from our repertoire of originals [I wasn't the song writer] which was very poppy and a song I hated AND they made us play it for . . . . . hours it seemed. They wanted the energy and feel to come through the recording. Next the vocals and then the backing vocals, my speciality. They saw us live . . . they arranged it . . . . yes you guessed it. . . . . at Checkers. Harry knew I had a strong high voice and he told me to JUST LET GO, but I hated the song . . . too bad. During a lunch break, 3am, Harry was tinkering on the piano [Down Among The Dead Men], the drummer, lead guitarist and myself were just messing around on our instruments and up comes Harry and asks . . . . . 'Do you want to jam?" 'Sh*t YEAH!!' So I got to jam with Harry Vanda. A good memory.

Yeah, because "love is in the air' is the thing everyone remembers Vanda and Young for, not producing the ACDC albums that are in the top 5 selling albums in history. Believe me, NO ONE outside Australia knows John Paul Young, everyone knows Dirty Deeds and let there be Rock. Love is in the air, God damn I'm embarrassed to be an Australian in America sometimes. Love is in the air, bitch please.

@@elainelewis9545 that video's title makes it sound like it's Mal on vocals, but he's playing the guitar. Harry did the majority of the lead vocal on the Marcus Hook album. You can pick Harry's Dutch accent creeping in a little.
