Listen I’ve been trying to put gyros on my BMX cruiser that has Disc breaks and I could not find one video but you’re the only videos that explain how to do it and I also learned how to adjust my barrel adjusters

Thank you! Do you still recommend the Dk Nano? Easy to put together and thank for telling what tools needed! I will have 2yr soon. Look to buy it Wednesday.

How many spacers should I use in the stem? That's my issue. To many my breaks work great but my stem bolt won't screw. Not enough spacers and my breaks barely work

The Fishbone Lower Gyro cable gives you an extra adjuster screwed into the Gyro cable splitter but are hard to find now.I would like to see him fit a old school ACS Rotor on a 1 inch head tube with a quill stem or a Fishbone X UFO as i have yet to see any videos on these subjects.

Hey, could you please help me? I really want to install a gyro system on my bmx, but it is an older bike with a quill stem. I'm not sure how to drill holes for the gyro. It would mean a lot if you could help out. Take care

a few tips i find help. try and set the gyro up with the gyro just slightly above the lower tabs and when dialing everything in turn the bars both directions and make sure it isnt flopping(this means there isnt equal tension) then one you get it dialed in and not flopping from there you can lessen the top ones off just a tad while moving the lowers back till it touches/rides the lower tabs. a little bit of flop isnt a big deal but can really bother some people. also on the lower cable, when you remove the housing take a finger and thumb coated in grease and coat the inner wire, then when everything is set up run triflow through al the other housing you cant get to plus the y junction pieces. for dual cable lowers, v brake noodles or flexies(basically flexible v brake noodles) can be used for the bend sections. removes friction, prevents kinks, tightens up the bends. for dual cable set ups dont use linear housing, its not as smooth and you dont need its benefits, though the runs are short so not much difference. also for lowers, you can use derailer inner wires to replace just the inners when they brake, housing doesnt need to be changed often, pro and cons of the derailer inners are they cost 2$ a pop for basic ones, then are thinner so in brake housing they run smoother, you can get more expensive fancy inners that are coated with teflon and stuff to make them even smoother, however because they are thinner then can break easier, however load is distributed over two cables so its fine, however if you really wrench on your lever maybe stick to regular cables. for lowers you can also use a second london mod or the dual cable adapter snafu has in their astro glide kit(i think snafu may include two anyways, there are also some bolt on versions for frames with removable tabs to look even cleaner) anyways remove the barrel adjusters from the second one and bolt it where the front cable guide is for the straight cable, run the housing through it a voila jerry rigged dual cable guide. this with the v brake noodles can really keep the cables out of the way and make your brakes run smooth and minimize maintenance. basic v brake noodles are 2$ a pop, a single regular cable will do for housing, or a snafu astroglide lower is 25$ or less. the snafu gyro is 35$ or less, and then an odyssey m2 lever comes with a free dual upper cable, or the snafu astroglide upper for 15$ you can set up a really nice dual cable set up with a light weight gyro for not much. and a few companies make nice budget brakes like mission that dont weight alot and look decent. my personal fav set up is m2 lever snafu mobeus gyro (as good as a odyssey but costs less, or go shadow its an odyssey clone but better) astroglide lowers plus a london mod(if the astroglides dont have two dual cable guides) or any thread on dual cable guide for frames with removable mounts. the v brake noodles and demolition vulcan, odyssey evo2's, shadow sano or similar brakes. sano's and evo'2s with arms that have room for two knarps and not a built in cable stop are better. vulcans can be modified to work, just remove the bolt and cut out a section. their benefit is they have sealed bearing pivots but not a huge deal. m2 upper cables are 5-10$ so cheapest uppers. the snafu kit gives you two knarps a london mod thing, and two lower cables super cheap, a second london mod is 5-10$ noodles are 4$ for a pair, and then 4$ to replace inners for the lowers. cheapest set up to maintain, and set up for the most part. not alot to add to a complete for a gyro, not alot extra to add a gyro to a brake set up, not alot to convert a y cable set up to dual cables, and not alot for a whole new brake set up for either a complete or a custom as a upgrade. and is pro level. just grease the inner wires tri flow through all the cables after its done, spring in the lever bushing, little bit in the gyro bushing, some in the v brake noodles and done. if tension is even and cables are cut even it should be easy to set up. more points to adjust means you can leave each one with room to tune in the future, and with the reduced friction and short cable runs you should be able to really reduce the tension needed on the brakes to get a nice spring back. meaning a softer pull so your hand doesnt get as tired and one finger locked back wheel.

This series is for me. I'm such a tinkerer. I did the London Mod using a piece of steel bar that I threaded before I even knew it was already a thing, same with integrated chain tensioners. Remember chain straddle cables? I think I try to rig random ideas up more than actually ride.
@entitybmxshop997 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah I know the chain straddles very well! Believe me I fiddle with my bike a lot but I think I enjoy the challenge of doing it your own way! Maintenance is half the fun of riding

Can you explain the common problems with the gyros not working?
@entitybmxshop997 жыл бұрын
that can be done, whats your issue??? the most common is the gyro rotor hitting the bottem of stem?? or pull through the cable more!!
@ClavdeDelExito7 жыл бұрын
Entity BMX Shop my problem is that, i have a flybike neutron and when i brake it doesnt do it as good as the cable
@ClavdeDelExito7 жыл бұрын
I mean it doesnt brake like the cable, is it the gyro the problem? Do i have to buy a better gyro instead of the cheap one? I have the Salt am kit
