Evil Marik was merely a cause of inheriting the dark, Evil Bakura was the vessel for the dark. When I first began to watch Yu Gi Oh I didn't give Bakura much thought, just thought he was a one off antagonist, boy was I wrong. 😂

Can you imagine in DBZ if the environment around Goku is constantly already being obliterated as he's just powering up and saying "KA-ME-HA-MEEEE". So badass.

Marik and Bakura are so cool 🔥 their character designs are badass and they make for really good and entertaining villains.

Marik didn't comprehend that Bakura was playing the long game. His plot wasn't going to be won or lost off 1 duel. He had contingencies in place were he to lose. Marik was simply a mad dog off his leash, wanting to cause pain and chaos to everybody for his sheer amusement. He was the epitome of a sado-masochist. Bakura had been plotting his revenge long before Marik existed. Marik's victory was, at best, a mild inconvenience to Bakura.

its kinda insane how yugioh of all anime managed to create probably the most insane and disturbing villain of all time, Yami Bakura/Zorc Necrophades is such a unique character

My favorite part of this episode was bakurara fading into the darkness laughing foreshadowing what we all was wondering what bakuras dark side truly was and enjoying how bakura was basically acting the entire time he looked worried It’s also amazing seeing dark Mariks laughter and ignorance asking “what’s that supposed to mean” not knowing he’s gunna be tortured by Zorc once it’s his turn to join the shadow realm. To which he is petrified when it’s his turn to go but bakura is literally laughing embracing it like it’s his house cuz it literally is! Amazing story telling

If only Yami Marik knew the full extent of Zorc's potential.

If Marik had any self awareness sending bakura to the shadow realm is like a bad person sending the devil back to hell. You only delayed your fate, you’re still going to hell, you’re still going to meet the devil again, and you’re still going to be in for a world of hurt.

Marik did win, but Bakura trusted Marik's other half too much and that screwed him over. He lost because he didn't know much about RA. But he was better than Marik. If it weren't for Mariks stupid plan and lack of knowledge he would've won.

Technically, we could say that yami marik is indeed the negative energy that was used to controll seth. That would explain all about the millenium item he has. First of all… why would a millenium item react like that with a human? And even if it would do… why that millenium item seems to try to help kaiba and atem sometimes? The reason would be that the evil spirit that controlls seth was sent to the millenium item after the pharaoh defeated it, and then it just waited until it got a compatible human to controll. Indeed yami marik has exactly the same characteristics than the rest of characters possesed with the millennium item (the eyes… the millenium symbol on the forehead… the double voice…) This would mean that yami marik isnt marik itself, but something inside the millennium item that is possesing marik’s body and mind (the evil spirit would have linked himself with the item after so much years… same as zork made with the millenium ring) Also, lets remember that “yami marik” wanted exactly the same as the evil spirit that possessed seth in the pharaoh memories :p Why that evil spirit doesn’t remember its past? Probably because is just a fragment so he “filled” the memories he lost with marik’s memories (so he would think he is like “a stronger version of marik trapped on his own millennium item” What do you think? :3
