Sank by a rock. They were in the main channel, in approximately 10-20 feet deep. That’s a damn big rock, and this is North Dakota, no old steamboats have ever been sunk by a rock. It’s all sand. As the boat began taking on water, the wheelman steered for shore, but it was too far away, almost made it though. What sunk a boat in a river filled with only sand? A tree trunk, I’m pretty sure tree trunks are responsible for sinking most boats, on this stretch of river.

Thank you for showing the Machinac Bridge, my favorite bridge. Our family crossed the straights on a ferry and saw it being built. My brother and me, about 8 and 10, in the back of the pickup from lower low Michigan, and back. A few years later we crossed it. Much later I worked on a structural job with a guy who was the union steward of the IronWorkers on the bridge construction. Then even later I sailed my sailing canoe across and back, near it. It's majestic.

You know I just want to say, I've always wanted to make this sort of content. My first ever time snorkeling I ran into a beautiful baby sea turtle and it truly made me appreciate the aquatic life more. Then I saw a barracuda and became horrified lol

Impressive flocks. Did you have a lot of sick and dead geese reported after the Snows left? Here is SD about everywhere that had big concentrations of geese has had a lot of them not looking so good. It seems as though the avian flu is hitting them hard.

I’m planning a trip to SW North Dakota late November early December. Just wondering what you think the weather will be like. First time venturing to new hunting ground, usually hunt Iowa. Coming from the U.P. Of Michigan with English setters. Your videos are great. Sorry about your loss, by what I could tell he was a great dog.
@westdakota1 Жыл бұрын
We got a bunch of snow last week so it will likely be tough hunting, especially in the central part of the state.
@logansavage1258 Жыл бұрын
@@westdakota1 worth still coming or should I go more south you think?
@westdakota1 Жыл бұрын
@@logansavage1258 the main gravel roads are open, most two-track trails are blocked so that will significantly limit where you will be able to drive. Accessing good hunting spots may require snowshoes in the south-central part of the state. It may be better further north as that area didn't get as much snow. The pheasants are going to be in heavy cover. You'll have to really work for your birds.
