Weird, I was just reading a couple hours ago about origin of life studies that involved water in oil droplets, and I didn't have a clear picture (I am familiar with "normal" micelles and liposomes, but not this). For example, "RNA molecules were incubated in water-in-oil droplets at 37 degrees Celsius for 5 hours."
