I think the issue is that we Muslims have not continued filtering Hadiths based on matn and verify it with Quran. If the doors of Ijtihad that closed in 14th century didn't happen, we would be better off. I do understand that calling a Hadith Sahih based on just Isnad is not the best method of analyzing Hadiths.
