@BrittanyJanaeCPA11 күн бұрын
@@S02055 Hey! I honestly don’t know about the job prospects for a CIMA specifically, but I think there are tons of opportunities in the public accounting field here! You could definitely find a job with your CIMA, but to move up your employer might require a CPA. I’m also not sure about transferring your credits, you would have to do some research on that. Hello Ms. Janae, I was thrilled to find your video because it makes absolute sense for people who cannot get an LOC or CC with sufficient limit to consolidate debts. I have a couple of things I'd like to add though... 1. Call your cc companies and tell them you want to cancel your card because the interest is too high. To keep your business, they will lower your rate. PLAY IT COOL! Tell them the APR is still too high. They are likely to lower it again :D 2. After step 1, transfer as much money as possible to the card(s) with the LOWEST APR. 3. Assuming you get a large tax return each year, you could change your W4 by ONE exemption. It will increase your take home pay by about $40, which can be applied to cc payments. 4. In two months, go through steps 1 and 2 again. The worse case scenario is, they say no and you keep doing whatever it is you are already doing. 5. Caution viewers about consolidation loans. They hurt more than they help. I would LOVE to give you my Snowball spreadsheet. If you are willing to put your email address on youtube, I'll send it to you. If you're not comfortable, you could make a gmail or outlook addie for free and just stop using it after getting my mail.

Hello! Thanks for the video. Have you taken any tuitions or is it all self study? I have done CPA Australia and planning to move to USA next year. So please let me know if the material will be enough to study.
@BrittanyJanaeCPAАй бұрын
@yashPatel-e7s you are very welcome! You have to have 150 credit hours from a university to include a Bachelors Degree to be able to sit for the exam. However the material to study for the exam is all self study. You don’t need to take any additional classes to study for the exam. I hope that helps!
@YashPatel-e7sАй бұрын
@ thank you for replying. Do we get the study material from the CPA or do we have to buy it? What books do you recommend? Thanks in advance
@BrittanyJanaeCPAАй бұрын
@@YashPatel-e7s You have to purchase the study material if your employer doesn't purchase it for you. Books are included with the study provider you choose. Some popular providers include Becker, Wiley, Rogers CPA, Surgent, Ninja, etc. I used Wiley, but I think they go by a different name now. You will have to do research to decide which one fits your study style better. You can look at articles like this to help you make your decision www.cpaexamguide.com/best-cpa-review-courses. Im in school to be a nurse and plan on getting my MACC in accounting specializing in taxation after I become a nurse. I already have a bachelor's degree in education and an associates degree in education (former teacher here). I am planning on pursuing the EA credential and just be a plain on tax accountant. I want to practice as a nurse and tax accountant. I want to work as a travel nurse and would love to work as a tax accountant/EA freely. The CPA designation will force me to have to stay in one state or keep applying for reciprocity just to travel or move to another state. I think getting an EA and MACC in accounting works better for me. I already have almost 200 credit hours of education already and wont graduate until next fall with ny nursing degree. Im already a tax preparer and just applied to work at a local tax firm for the 2024 year tax season. I wouldn't mind getting a CPA...I wouldn't mind becoming a tax manager. Im just not ready to plant roots yet in just one state. I can move freely as an EA. I will make good money as both a nurse and EA/tax accountant and wouldn't need my CPA. May have to settle for being a senior tax accountant and nix the tax manager dream because Im tired of school, lol.
@BrittanyJanaeCPA2 ай бұрын
@REXS10 Wow, you are very ambitious and have big plans! I think that either option, EA or CPA, would both serve you well. You can always work remotely part time at an accounting firm where you want to claim your main place of residency, get your CPA there, and just practice their remotely. The best thing about getting your CPA is you can really do whatever you want with it. You can start your own business or work at a firm. It really depends on where you want your life to go. Being a travel nurse sounds very demanding though. Would you still work during tax season with traveling as a nurse. Both are very high paying careers and if you can find the right mix of both then that would be amazing! Also, I feel you on being tired of school lol.

@Chocolateskinnedbeauty2 ай бұрын
@@terrelmurray1613 I would try to find an accountability buddy to help keep you both on track. Also, I would try to figure out the best time of day that you feel you retain the most knowledge. For me that was in the morning before work, this makes life more manageable because I can still have a social life after work, while still getting a good amount of studying in .
@BrittanyJanaeCPA2 ай бұрын
@terrelmurray1613 Great question, I worked multiple part time jobs and was in school full time when I took first section, AUD. I think to make sure you get your hours in and actually retain the information you should be study a little bit everyday. I studied 2 hours a day M-F and anywhere from 4-8 hours on Sat & Sun, depending on my schedule. I think December is very doable for you if you make sure to get your hours and you that you actually understand the material. You will see if you are retaining info as you go through the MCQs and the practice exams. Make sure that if you do feel you have a good grasp on info, move on to the next. No point in studying the same info over and over if you already understand. Just make sure to include it when you study the overall section. Good luck on your journey!!

He then went on to say that she passed the CPA exam...in *ONE TRY.* "No one passes it in one try. It just...doesn't happen! You guys.. have the collections agency prove you owe whatever bill you owe. They have 30 days to prove it. If not, it’s their loss and your win. Next, understand that they auctioned for your “debt” .. meaning they paid a small amount to take it on, and the actual facility /organization that you owe has chucked up their loss and already received your monies in the sense of insurance . Meaning, they have loss prevention and their insurance has covered their loss due to your nonpayment. THIS is why these collection agency’s are so “willing” to give you discounts that can go from 20-75% off! Especially if they give you a deadline date. “If you pay in 2 weeks we can take such and such for it,” and it sounds hella good cause in your eyes it’s way less than your original debt. Example.. you owe $1,000. The collection buys it for 200-300… the rest is claimed in loss and the company will collect from insurance that they have for such cases. The collection will tell you, you owe them 1,000 plus whatever bs they can apply but they’ll make a deal for $600/$700.. meanwhile they paid 200 for your debt. They make 3x’s what they paid for your debt, plus a couple dollars on interests that they swear you owe them. But ☝🏾 Your thought process that I’m explaining to you should be is to question “Who are you? “ As you know you don’t owe B&B collections you owed Glass Point that amount ( I’m just naming a place/ don’t go telling them who you actually owe 😂) ….and they have to prove that you owe this debt, that exact amount and the company on their behalf that they are collecting for. Also! Scan your report good! I had 2 collection agency’s trying to get money from me for my Sprint bill that ended up in collections . One claimed I owed 350, another said 290 . I disputed through Credit Karma ( that’s who I use to stay up to date with my credit report) …and one agency was dropped due to their failure to prove my debt or that I owed them, as 2 separate collection agency’s cannot collect on one debt. Imagine if I had not paid attention to this. I learned these tips through my aunt and it works! I cleaned up my credit, and had collections knocked off through disputes and their failure to prove I indeed owed debts to them. It may not work on high debts but those petty ones, they do . Good luck ! ❤
