Thanks for your awesome comments. I don't know a lot about wooden framed caravans but if I can be of any help just reach out. When you take on big projects like mine and your one it can be really daunting, but trust me, the feeling of satisfaction you get at the end makes it all worth while. Take your time, enjoy the restoration, thanks for your support.

Amazing! Well done. We bought a Panorama lightweight 1979 a few weeks ago. In the latest downpour the front window leaked big time. It looks to me like the seal that the window is seated in is leaking and rainwater is coming in. The previous owner came out to see it this morning and he is convinced that this is normal and the little weep holes were blocked and that is why the water spilled over to run down the wall and onto the seat. I can't see that the system that these caravans were built on was rainwater comes in and the weep holes will take care of it by draining the incoming water. Is this right? To me I have a caravan that leaks. I'd value your opinion. Thanks

If you were doing another one of these, could the joint below the windows be changed to a riveted lap joint with sealant?
@restorationcrew46152 жыл бұрын
You probably could do that, I have always tried to keep everything as original as possible even down to tiny details which is why I agonised so much over just putting screws in when they weren’t there originally. I can’t see myself doing another Panorama anytime soon, thanks for watching

The axles must be 16 CWT (hundredweight) A British hundredweight is 50.8 kg, so 16 x 50.8 = 812 kg per side, which sounds correct.

I can’t remember the name of it but I know it is very big and very old around 1960’s or 70’s but is has around 35cfm. It delivers nice consistent airflow.
