Wow. 500 views came from the KZbin home page. This whole time I thought most of the views came from the short with 1k views that was promoting this video but nope, most was just recommendations which is amazing

Yeah alright! I think the reason I'm not more popular is because KZbin and TikTok like to do me dirty with their algorithms where one video (like this one) will get a LOT of views compared to other content and then for a while I'll basically be maxed at 15-25 views per video until a video like this comes along. If I was able to keep consistent views on uploads then I would 100% be more popular

I had to download a lot of these from YT Studio cause I got a new PC and lost the old video renders and the Studio compresses it HARD when you download, losing a lot of quality

I actually have played quite a bit of DL2. I'd record it for vid but my pc barely lets the game load. Like I have to slowly walk for about a minute to stop frame drops and when I record it just gives up lmao

I think this channel has the potential to get huge. I'd recommend using smaller text-size and thinner outline with slightly less saturated coloring. I liked the shooting range sequence as well. I'd recommend learning about color theory & photo composition. Thumbnails are the first thing people see when they notice your video, so make it stand out. I recommend EmpLemon's video "The KZbin Thumbnail Metagame". Otherwise, I enjoy this video a lot. Cheers :)

I'm actually learning colour grading and colour theory for my own projects which could help, I also think the music could easily be adjusted with it not being in the ENTIRE video and I absolutely agree with the text stuff, just need to find a comfortable sizing for it. And as for the thumbnails, I'll absolutely check that out. Thank you!

@@cavedwolf you can switch to the pre-anniversary verion of half-life pretty easily (instructions available online), so I suggest testing if it's still broken on that version before you start tinkering

And yes I know I've been doing KZbin for a year and still haven't got a consistent editing style. I just can't decide what's better, a lot of subtitles or a few sprinkled throughout. I like having everything subtitled (Last Video on Project 13) but it takes forever to do but I also like subtitling small amounts of things to emphasise what I want to emphasise but I think this video didn't have enough of them cause it feels quite empty, I just didn't bother with a lot of them cause it was like midnight when I edited this
