Just replaced the motor here as well. The two screws that attach the motor itself were a pain and seem to be made of pudding. One is beyond saving, anyone have a clue what size screw it is? I found on ifixit that it is 4mm but no more details. Other tip: when I removed the engine I noticed a lot of hair and dirt around the axl just below the orange part that spins the rubber. It may be that that is dragging your motor down.

Did replacing the motor fix the problem long-term? Or did it stop working again after a bit?

Just replaced the motor the same way as you did. S5 works again. Thanks for the video. Tested the original motor with a 9V battery, it spins, keep it as a backup.
