All Artist Paints are in the clear, with the TSA. You must abide by the rules, concerning the size, on whether carry on or checked, that's all. It's clearly stated in the rules.

Thanks for the comment - flammable artist paints are not permitted. Although most artist paints are nonflammable, if they are not labeled "nonflammable," they can be removed from your luggage.

Watercolor pencils are nice to travel with. Love this video. I had never thought of making a kit to make it easier to travel with. In the past I always through them in a backpack and I hated having to search for what i wanted so now I'm going to make a kit like yours. Thank u. Have a great weekend.

I saw your demo via Sketchbook Revival. Thanks for this great video and your clear descriptions. Question about the Ranger heat tool. I couldn't find anything warm only and specific to watercolors. In the question section for the one on Amazon it indicates the Ranger tool is very hot, like a regular embossing heat tool. Did I miss something? What do you suggest?

I really enjoyed seeing your travel kit. Thanks! I travel a bit lighter (smaller palette for example, size of business card holder). You could use Washi tape for masking as well, also decorative for adding stuff to your journal. I will be doing a series on watercolor palettes soon (hopefully), including travel, and sharing my kit. I will also be posting about a hybrid water/sable brush if you are interested.

Hello loved the video and thought of something that you might like to try I recommend laminating your colour swatch sheets and that will protect them from the wet paint in your pellet iv just started doing it and it's working well :)

Love your video and thanks for giving us a peek into your kit! Very helpful. Are your Davinci travel brushes synthetic or sable and which do you prefer to use?
@1BraveGirl9 жыл бұрын
+Paige Pittman Hi Paige and thanks for commenting. I'm glad you liked the tips. The DaVinci's come in a synthetic and a sable. For traveling, I use the synthetic - they are very high quality and plus, I just don't feel I'm good enough to invest in the sables!

You have such great ideas, I hope you post lots more videos! I really like the idea of the white-out pen. So many white markers seem to be so transparent and this looks like it would be really easy to use. Thanks for sharing.

Great video. You may not realise, but I have a waterbrush and to refill on the go the top fits right into the opening of the water container of the Winsor & Newton Travel Palette that you have. I just squeeze the air out of the waterbrush, pop it into the opening, invert, and then let the suction fill the brush - when the brush is totally empty it takes a couple of times, but it's mess free and you can fill it quite a few times from that small reservoir. Hope that helps someone. :)

I find that the 28 day pill organizer by "Pharmadose" for $8.24 has 28 little pill cups almost identical in size with the winsor newton half pans...soooo.. leave your W/N half pans at home, and by spraying the back side of it with white silicon spray, or placing the white pill sheet that comes with the organizer, under the plastic tray, you can take as many as you need colors, up to 28, and have at it...It does not have a cover for the pill cups, but if you place the organizer on the bottom of your carry on bag, it should arrive in one piece with no spillage. If you take just 14 colors, you can use 7 in the first and third rows for basic colors, and then the 2nd and 4th rows for mixing your exotics if needed. It measures 4" x 6" x 3/4" and has clear see through plastic all round, slide off access covers for each day's pills, should you need to refill or let dry your paints. The whole 28 day pill tray organizer, comes out in one piece, from the end with the Pharmadose name. I find it quite well made for my inventive and colorful nature.

Your work is wonderful. How do you keep your colors from becoming muddy? Do you mind if I ask if you are a classically trained artist?
@1BraveGirl9 жыл бұрын
Hi Sherron, I am so sorry I missed this comment earlier. I am self-taught, although my first love was oil painting - particularly portraits. I try hard to work with warms and cools together and not overlap unless they are dry - it does help with the muddying! Thanks so much for watching!
