The closest version of this song that rocked the 90s as much as it did the 80s. I was a kid, in the late 1990s, hearing this. Nostalgia!

@jaymidavern2620 Tool played with liquid jesus once in like 91. Only time I ever saw them. Todd was very impressed with them and was excited to be on the bill together. It was a tiny little club in Long Beach called Bogart's. Nice to hear that he has good memories of them.

@ScreamoCat I think it was just bad timing. For me it was huge. I remember the first time I heard the band play this. I was under 21 and wasn't able to get into the club, so me and my buddy listened from outside. We were blown away.

@ScreamoCat I'm glad you stumbled on it. :) Todd Rigione was the songwriter for this band. Check out some of his other stuff that I have shared. His band Tonegrown is pretty phenomenal, and his Room 4 project has some great stuff, too. 🙂

I saw Dramarama several years ago for one of those 80s concerts. And, I am not sure which members were there, aside from Johnny. But, he put on such a great show. He jumped into the audience after they played and hung around to see the other bands.

I was one of T oh double D's friends. Met him in Ventura California about 14 years ago. He moved into a Pacific Ocean view WAV loft about 3 lofts down from me. It was actually my old loft so I left him my washer dryer and a 2001 Saab 93 he wanted for his daughter. I moved a few blocks away, he moved a few blocks away but I would see him around town or he would swimg by to sell some of his art, etc. Him and I talked about me having one of his best pieces, I also have his Fender Mustang... Helped him and his dog Dante move back to Rapid City via the amtrak( 2019ish), a sleeper car and papers my girlfriend forged to get Dante on the choo choo. He would text me about his new "again" life in Rapid, send pics of baked muffins he whipped up and then he rolled up to some sort of commune for artists up in Oregon. Wanted us to visit and kept asking me to help him put together an art show down here in So. CAL. This went on for a couple years. One day he texted and like a moth to a flame he said he made it back and was in Ojai. The rest is history as they say... Youre free my friend, you are finally free!
@ispacehead5 ай бұрын
@@slicebo I remember him telling me about that Saab. I would love to see pics of whatever art you have. And that guitar! Are you in the Facebook memorial group?
@slicebo5 ай бұрын
@ispacehead I m not on Facebook. My girlfriend is... There is a FB memorial page for Todd? I can have her try to find it. I have a few pieces of his art I could share and yes a pic of the Fender. I also.have a picture of him fiddling around with a couple of guitars at a local guitar shop here in Ventura on main street before we helped him get back to Rapid. He had his eye on a sage green Fender and would often text me and ask if it was still hanging in the shop. We got him some strings an iPhone and a place to crash for him and Dante at the Pierpont Inn for a few days before he boarded the Pacific Surfliner one evening with Dante. The door slide closed we set outside and watched the conductor immediately head for Todd and Dante presumably to check his ticket. Dante immediately went into attack mode.. so much for the forged papers stating Dante was a trained "companion" dog. I told my girlfriend next stop is Carpenterria and we are going to have to drive up the 101 and get Todd and Dante if they kick them off... but they made it!
