I spent a lot of time at TTR working for Lockheed with 28 years. I was on the program from first flight to last flight.

no matter what I do, I cannot get that vertical line to come up, the pipper is always at the top of the HUD, and no aircraft can bomb properly

You can also set up unlimited ammo so you don't have to drop one bomb and then go back so for practice that's what I would do

I'm returning to the Viggen, in anticipation of the Kola map release, and just wanted to tell @Bunyap, that this video series is still as useful and enjoyable as it was 7 years ago. I'm still subscribed to his channel, in the hope that he will someday return to it, as I truly miss his unique style of sharing his learning process. Cheers, from Chile.

Some aircraft require engine bearings to cool down. HH-60G required 2 minutes idle or 5 hour cool down if you miss the 2 minutes

Interesting, 6 years after this video (which emphasizes a 7g limit), pilots were complaining about the F5's delicate wings getting ripped off in hi-g maneuvers....happened to me a lot too, until I found out where the g meter (aka "accelerometer") was, and learned that a gauge that goes to 12g does NOT mean that the plane can do that. I have a copy of the actual dash 1 manual on my computer, I'm going to have to read that.

Fantastic introduction to the plane. I like fast tutorials for some reasons, and I love long thorough tutorials for many other reasons. This one is great from the latter category, obviously. ;-) BTW: Does anybody know what are those small vertical things on the bottom of the tailplane? What does it do to the aerodynamics and why? I couldn't find any explanation on the internet.
