So many homes on our islands sit empty most of the year or are rented out to tourists, not locals. And we have many families who are raising their keiki here who need affordable housing. While trying to raise our keiki close to their ‘ohana or pod. I’m aware there’s an affordable housing crisis practically everywhere in the Mainland U.S. But Hawai’i is a very special case that is on a whole ‘notha level. Just look it up. And please, educate yourselves before considering a purchase here or even before you visit again. There’s a serious lack of knowledge about our history when it comes to visitors, everyone wants a Disneyland version of Hawai’i. But that’s not what Hawai’i nei is. I would suggest learning how to pronounce Hawai’i properly to start. Oh yeah we did Santa but who do you think funds Santa?? That's why all the kids toys aren't equal. Santa is like UPS or FEDEX. My son, always with his engineers brain, got it bc that made sense. We had the magic of Christmas but mom still got the credit. It’s not the flight attendants’ job to close overhead bins. They only make sure they are closed before leaving the gate. Don’t be a douche. Just close it if you are the last person to put your bag in. That’s the protocol. Most people don’t reopen them unless they are last on the plane and looking for a space. Bin size varies with the type of plane. Just put your bag in a way to maximize the space for everyone. It’s not that hard.
