*🎄A HAPPY CHRISTMAS⭐& NEW YEAR!* Christmas Celebrations commence all over the world every year when the month of December begins. This is to explain, briefly what Christmas is and why so much of excited activities during Christmas Season. More than two thousand years ago, an angel from heaven brought the following message to some simple shepherds who were taking care of their sheep at night, in a small village of a country which is located at the centre of the earth i.e. Israel. "And the angel said unto them, *fear not: for, behold, bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people for unto you is born, this day in the city of David, a Saviour which is Christ the Lord" (Luke 2:10,11).* This message was the fulfilment of God's eternal plan of salvation for mankind. The *Lord Jesus Christ, the son of God was ordained from eternity to become the sacrifice for the sin of the world* and to redeem them not with silver and gold but with His precious blood (1 Peter 1:18- 20). *The eternal God the Creator of heaven and earth, took upon Him a human form, came to this world as a babe, born of a virgin, lived an unspotted life, sacrificed His life, and made salvation free for all.”* O ! What a good news is this! "for by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast". (Ephesians. 2:8,9) This shows that God's love is eternal and unchanging. "I have loved thee with an everlasting love, therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee. (Jeremiah 31:3). The holy God loves us, though we are sinners, not only with an eternal love but with a great immeasurable sacrificial love. The Bible says, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever beliveth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).* His love surpasses the love even of a mother for her sucking child "Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Tea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee." (Isaiah 49:15). Thus this message is the message of God's love, which helps us to overcome the loss, lack any or even betrayal of any human love in this life. This message was from heaven; hence it is not pertaining to any religion, caste, language or nation. Also it is authoritative, so that no one dares to deny or differ from it lest we become defaulters denying the very Almighty God, and His only plan of salvation and thus come under condemnation. "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is non other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12). “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” (Mark 16:16). The angel’s messages began with the comforting words. “Fear not”: Since the first man Adam sinned all human beings have different kinds of fears. The greatest, being the fear of death. The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins and He rose again to give us eternal life. If we accept him as our personal Saviour, he forgives us our sins, cleanses us from all unrighteousness and assures us of eternal safety for our souls after death. And when the Lord Jesus will come again He will also give us an immortal body and take us to be with Him forever in His eternal kingdom (2 Timothy 1:7-10). This message from heaven brought by an angel was “to all people.” People of all ages, status, languages, race and nations are included an this message is a wonder that God is not willing that even one soul should perish (2 Peter 3:9). *God has no pleasure in allowing even the most wicked person upon the earth to perish for ever (Ezekiel. **18:23**).* Further the angel said, “Unto you is born this day” this speaks of the great mystery of incarnation, “God was manifest in the flesh,” “full of grace and truth” (1 Timothy 3:16; John 1:14). Is it not glad news that the invisible God revealed Himself as humble, holy approachable and understandable person in human form; He condescended and revealed to man as the most merciful, compassionate loving and caring God. And even sharing our sins, blame, curse, death, and giving us in return His righteousness, glory, blessing with life eternal. *Finally the angel said the one born on that Christmas night was the “Saviour, which is Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ came to save sinners and not to judge them; not to condemn people but to be condemned on their behalf, not to kill but to die to give us eternal life.* Through His substitutionary death burial and resurrection *He saves us from the penalty of our sins; he saves us now from the power of sin by giving us His divine nature, and He will one day save us from the very presence of sin by transforming us and giving us an immortal body to be in His glorious heaven.* He is able also to save them to the uttermost. (Hebrews. 7:25) _May God help you to experience this great joy of Christmas by accepting Christ and repenting of all your sins now, and even share this joy with others._
