I got the same CA7, I assume the PSA upper you got has a gastube and thats why you had to go locked mag. I have a magpul BTR brace, Holosun 510C and a sweet little Votatu laser/light combo on my CA7, stike industries pistol grip. I cant decide whether to go locked mag for semi-auto action and deal with a juggernaut system or this goofy looking mag you got lol OR keep it stock /"bolt-action" I really dont want to deal with partially deconstructing something in a real combat scenario. I forsure think I will upgrade it to 300 BLK just to keep it 7.5. I wish we could have law tactical folding braces in CA LOL
@gripaimsqueeze10 күн бұрын
Yea I got this in 300 blackout to keep the size down. But I also have an 11.5 556 upper I use because 556 is cheaper. The Compmag will definitely get you killed in a defense scenario. If that shit jams and you have no secondary it’s a wrap. And you need another device to reload the 10 rounds if you have anything short of ‘all the time in the world’ it’s mainly a range toy for those reasons unless laws change.

It's an awesome pistol for it's small size it packs serious firepower especially with modern HP loads that are designed for short barrels. I highly recommend it but not for old people or women. I have the full size Glock22 & it took me more practice with it than my 9mm pistols but now I'm more accurate with it than my 9s.

I've had my M27 G3 for over 20 years and used to switch back and forth with a Glock factory .357 Sig barrel when ammo was much cheaper, but since those calibers have skyrocketed I bought a 9mm Double Diamond conversion barrel and shoot the much cheaper and plentiful 9mm ammo nowadays, but it's always nice to be versatile and have the option of 3 calibers.
@JohnPublic-dk7zdАй бұрын
I've been thinking about this...we maintain a 'stash' supply, and a range supply...currently, we ration our range ammo (for us it is easy, as we visit the range every week, but rarely shoot more than a couple of cylinders/magazines per firearm...more than that is kinda pointless), we are good for at least 3 to 5 years... yup, range time every week...or, we could shoot up the entire range supply in 6 months...that would be great fun, but we would NOT be better shots at the end, and be out of range ammo...so I think we will continue with what we have been doing, as the weekly range visit has been working pretty well...meanwhile, the stash remains untouched...heck, we have even added a few calibers, and will soon complete the stash on the most recent acquisition...ymmv...

Spot-On...@HereOnKZbin This is the reason I am currently testing 5.7x28 ammo. You can carry WAY more ammo than you can 9mm or 5.56 if you had to hoof it anywhere. I am still testing, but so far I am not disappointed in the caliber. (Forget gel-tests...you have to test in live tissue like deer, hogs, coyotes, cougars, etc....With the smaller round, shot placement is really important. For now, I am rolling with 2k rounds each of 5.56 and 9mm for stay-put ammo, 300-500 rounds for each multi caliber I have (.357, .44, .45 etc) and then 500 rounds of 5.7x28 if I have to bug-a-boo it out. (when you add in all the other stuff you would need to carry, the ammo selection will be critical. - I have even looked at the .22LR as the primary for a bug-out option, with a 9mm with 3 mags as the backup. With the .22LR, you could literally walk out with 1-2 thousand rounds on your person along with your other gear.
@HereOnYouTubeCommenting22 күн бұрын
@@44Mag i did the math and weight already on 22LR vs 9mm. 22LR weighs .11 oz 9mm 115g fmj weighs .41 oz So for the weight of 1000 rounds of 9mm i can carry 4000 rounds of 22LR. Yes 22LR is smaller but you get 4 to 1. You also get less recoil on 22LR so you can get more shots on target easier. 22LR is also quieter from a rifle, just make sure that target is 300 ft or less. Everyone will have what they want and carry what they want and thats fine but speaking logically .... The bigger the round the more powerful it is but the more WEIGHT it has which means less of it you can carry. The Walking Dead or the movie "The Road" are perfect examples of which is more important, quantity or quality. If that scenerio comes to, how many shots will be missed ???? Do you want to waste those shots with more $$ 9mm or 5.56 or stick with 22LR because its $ cheaper and if and WHEN you miss, its not too bad.
@44Mag22 күн бұрын
@@HereOnKZbinCommenting You are preaching to the choir....I have about 7 .22LR guns and keep a minimum of 5k rounds on hand. My Walther P22 is super reliable with a suppressor on it. I just added a Charger, and swapped the steel 8" barrel with an aluminum 8" barrel, added a pistol brace, and a Leupold 1-4 scope. Super sweet and lightweight setup. Plus, I have several 50rd mags and a lot of 25 & 30 round mags to boot for it. (still breaking it in) If I had to schlep out of town, those two would be my go guns. (with suppressors on both)

The 2nd amendment not only says we must have weapons but our weapons must be sufficient to fight against a well armed military when our government has turned tyrannical. Which means the restrictions on magazine size , triggers, receivers, “assault weapons” are all against the constitution.
