@@DiamondJCustoms thank you so much!!!! That would be awesome and use whatever you need to put a post together for sure, we certainly appreciate the comment and future shout out! ❤️💪👍 My son had so much fun riding/racing this year thanks to the Diamond J upgrades, my kid thought the stock suspension was good before I installed the new parts 🤣 When he seen the stock shock next to the new ones he couldn’t believe the difference and told me the OEM shocks look like little toys compared to the 12.5” lol. He was blown away after riding this 90 with some good shocks and more travel so now he understands the difference and the stock were terrible since they bottomed out on him on the stiffest spring settings when jumping even, etc so this was a game changer for him and love everything so far! He rode on the track 2-3 times with stock suspension and told me it felt like it was going to rip his arms off, as the quad sits right now there are absolutely zero complaints and the single a arm widening kit held up awesome 👍

@@FishingandAtvs TC racing, it’s the best the quad has sounded so far for me but needs a hair more fine tuning of the carb to be 100% perfect, it’s almost there though and getting close. Just have to tweak it a bit but either way it feels great to have this thing up and running again!
@OFFROAD-REVOLUTION

The TC racing exhausts are no longer available though but it is just a Supertrapp silencer trimmed down to a shorty with the custom made exhaust tip/cap added to finish it off with a open ended cap instead of discs and a closed cap (spark arrestor). You can still buy silencers new from supertrapp so if you can find a universal exhaust end cap the right size and are able to fab a bit you could probably reproduce this exhaust. I rarely see them for sale used but you may get lucky and find an old one in good shape yet. I got this quad the way it is more or less so the exhaust was already on it with the HRC parts, runs on 110 octane only with a high compression race piston and hot rods connecting rod, OEM bearings, aftermarket valve train, dynatek CDI/ECU with raised rev limit and more aggressive curve, FCR MX 39 Flat carb, and just on and on. I have no clue what’s all EXACTLY done to the engine other than that but it is powerful as hell.

My son has to take it slow through the water because of the airbox setup being pretty much wide open on the top/heavily vented. If he goes a little too fast through enough water it will soak the filter and/or worse and it has rained a ton lately so we have to work with what he got. He could be basically wide open MOST of the way around if it was dry but it isn’t so just wanted to point that out if anybody is wondering why he’s not bombing through the water. He is listening to me so it doesn’t end up hydro locked when he has a race in less then a week so we gotta make sure she’s still running mint for that 😅😂

@@michaelmangino9819 thank you and welcome to the OFFROAD-REVOLUTION community/channel!!!! ❤️✌️🤙 Glad to have you and thanks for the sub!!! The DS450 is my favorite quad by far and I raced a brand new 2009 DS450XMX back in the day so Can Am will always be special to me either way. Being back on this DS has lighted the fire 🔥 back up inside me at 35 years old and I was throwing no footers + hitting my double in 3rd gear harder than I’ve ever hit it so far basically landing to flat the other day. The Can Am is so light and those KYB’s work amazing so I didn’t even come close to bottoming out plus it was pretty smooth and didn’t beat me up hardly at all so I’m feeling better than ever on 4 wheels rn. I just upgraded to the Green fuel injector, and than today I took the header off to weld in a bung for a wide band o2 sensor and I am in the process of finishing up installing the autotune AT-200 from DynoJet that hooks up to my power commander 6 and tunes the quad itself off of the 02 and various other sensors to maintain the perfect air/fuel ratio ALL the time. It self adjusts for any mods you make to the quad as well so I should be done with fuel management for good after this is buttoned up. Next riding video will be testing the autotune and I cannot wait to see how it runs after this is done. Just have to connect the power wire to a switched 12vdc + source and it’s ready to start up.

@OFFROAD-REVOLUTION
@OFFROAD-REVOLUTION Ай бұрын
There were recalls for the clutch, I believe some cooling hose/fittings, and the rest where updates the dealer would flash into your ECU right off the top of my head. That’s what I can recall from back in the day, I bought a brand new 2009 XMX I raced that had all the updates already done to it. My buddy bought a new 08 ds450 and dealt with the recalls, Can Am kept calling him until he brought it back to the dealer to get fixed. He experienced a noisy slipping clutch after a few hours but the recall totally fixes that issue so if the clutch feels good is probably been updated. Can am was really persistent about the recalls because they didn’t want anything out there to give them a bad name right off the start and wanted to make things right ASAP so the original owner would of had to refuse the free parts and labor to fix the quad and I doubt that happened so it’s more then likely fine. You can do a lot with them, the 08-09 have the pink wire you can just cut to unlock the race map/settings in the ECU so check and see if that’s already been done. If not you’ll be surprised with the difference just cutting the pink wire alone gives you with your current mods. They are awesome machines and my favorite 450 ❤

I’m running this quad with a wide open airbox (lid removed) and a Uni competition filter so I have to be cautious around the water/puddles. The quad is set up for MX and dryer riding, not bombing through puddles so that’s the reason I’m taking it easy around them and pushing where I can. Just got a ton of rain recently so there’s a lot of water everywhere at the moment and my little short track was pretty flooded out yesterday for sure but dry enough to hit my jump anyways. Had a blast ripping this DS450!❤ Thanks for watching, like and subscribe!

@@LuxkyStocks sounds good my friend, I had already planned on covering more of this Can Am as I make progress/more mods anyways since there isn’t many videos on these out there so it’s hard to learn ALL the little ins and outs if your just getting into the DS450 now. I know a lot about the Can Ams, bought a brand new 2009 DS450XMX as soon as it was available at a dealer near me in 09’, got the factory sponsorship deal with it and raced so a lot of the mods are things I ended up doing to my 2009 years ago racing AMA MX to squeeze everything I could out of it without tearing into the motor and it’s what most of the Pro national guys used on their machine’s for upgrades as well with motor work on top of that. I ended up getting a Wossner 12.5:1 compression piston, complete engine gasket/seal kit, exhaust cam for the intake side, and an NOS OEM STD bore cylinder with a couple other things for this 2015 so I will be doing some work to the engine in this one. I always wanted to see what the exhaust cam mod does plus a little higher compression piston so I can make a tune for 93 pump gas and a tube for 100+ octane race fuel. Planning on installing a map switch and hooking it up to the power commander 6 so I’m able to switch between the 2 maps with the flick of a switch on the handlebars. A friend bought a brand new 2008 DS450 so that’s where I seen my first DS450, after he had the recalls taken care of and uncorked it with a Motoworks pipe, filter and no airbox lid, cut pink wire, etc I took it for a rip and it was faster then my 07 TRX450ER I had at the time, noticeably lighter and the handling was impressive. After riding that 08 I made my mind up to buy a new 09 XMX and I’m really glad that I did and no regrets! These are great quads with a few upgrades, I have ridden pretty much every sport ATV made over the years and owned a bunch of different stuff and the Can Am always stands out as the best to me out of them all with a few mods. The DS450’s are pretty anemic in fully stock form, lack bottom end power most other brands have stock, and run more like a 2 stroke than a 4 stroke making the meat of the power at high RPM so a lot of people get turned off and think these are junk test riding a bone stock DS. Once you do the right mods and unlock beast mode the DS will walk all over other 450’s with the right rider on it all day. I get what Can Am was trying to do back in the day, they wanted smooth power delivery stock so the quad wasnt so intimidating for people on a lower skill level yet they wanted to have the best performing 450 at the same time so the performance is there, you just need to bring it all out.

They come with a factory speed limiting collar in the clutch assembly and it felt about half as fast as it is now before I removed the speed reducer ring/collar. I also added a big gun exhaust, open airbox lid with a Uni High Flow filter, and re-jetted the carb but it still needs to go up a little bit on the main jet as it’s a bit lean. After I get time to take the carb back apart and swap the main jet one last time it should be a little bit faster than it is in the video with a lot less backfiring, etc. That’s about it for performance mods other than widening the rear end to make it handle better and a couple other things like that.

Can you still purchase the ngk race wires or did they stop making them
@OFFROAD-REVOLUTION
@OFFROAD-REVOLUTION 2 ай бұрын
@@auggghhh-hu1nl They have been discontinued but there are some new old stock kits still out there. Get 2 NGK CR3 Race wires, those are the easiest to get right now but they normally used a CR3 and CR4, the CR4 has a 90 bend in the spark plug boot and the CR3 is a straight boot so that went on the inner plug and the 90 degree goes on the outer plug. Like I said 2 CR3 wires will work and that’s what’s on my quad in this video until the CR4 I ordered from Australia gets here to make it correct to the Pro setup we ran back in the day. The only downside with two straight boots is it hides the inner plug/race wire so it’s harder to tell it’s a dual plug setup whereas with the CR4 90 boot on the outer plug you can see both of the race wires and boots so the dual plug thing is more noticeable. It’s basically preference and what you can find as far as the race wires go and be careful for cheap fakes and repops, that stuff is junk and nowhere near as good as the legit NGK wires. The wires I got came in the original packaging with the correct stickers and I know they are 100% NGK wires because I ran these on my brand new 2009 when I raced it and installed the same wires back then as it was something I did to the 09’ XMX immediately with a bunch of other things including the motoworks sponsor package with free parts from the factory.

Well I didn't case it, the GoPro really doesn’t do this jump much justice and it’s pretty gnarly in person. The takeoff ramp next to the tree is barely wide enough for the back tires on the 350x plus the lip isn’t perfectly level, than the landing is only a hair wider with 3-4ft deep holes dug out on the left and right side of the landing so if I was off a little bit it was a guaranteed crash ☠️. You can’t even see the landing approaching the jump so I am using the orange cones to figure out where to land basically so that is what I mean by wild. There’s a mile of room on a dirt bike but on the 3-wheeler I had to grease it and/or go deep to be clear of the trenches beside the landing so it really needs to be widened out on both ends so it’s not just having to thread the needle or ☠️ like it’s currently set up. Either way I got this jump dialed now as is so it makes it more interesting to just leave the danger factor there.

I am actually starting to design a lot of parts and/or upgrades for dirt bikes, ATV’s, & 3 wheelers and have a few products prototyped, tested, and fine tuned ready to manufacture more. Definitely stay tuned because I will be uploading videos of my other parts in the near future plus I can easily work with someone that needs something I haven’t made yet to get their machine running properly. In the case of this Tri-Moto airbox for a customer I had to make it to get his trike fixed up and running properly. Tracking down 40 year old parts and having to piece a whole OEM airbox assembly together from used parts wasnt going to be exactly cheap or easy so I put my skills to work and made a direct replacement without snorkels and vented lid so it will flow better than stock too. I like challenges and building things you can’t get anymore to help people out with whatever bike they are running. I have my own powersports shop/business and this is part of it but I really haven’t brought this up on the channel yet so most probably don’t know that I work on EVERYTHING as well as ride.

Glad this section is completed and I got the speed dialed in so I know how slow I can go and still safely clear the double with room to go deeper from there. Might add another double after this one so there’s two back to back but for now I am going to move on to the bigger lines of the track with some proper/big jumps since that’s what I’m lacking at the moment to really stretch the SR’s legs. This is a work in progress so keep that in mind, not going for records in this video. I added more dirt to the take off and graded it back so the jump is now taller with a bit more gradual radius to the lip since I made it longer as well. I wanted this jump to work well for bikes, quads, etc so it took more time then I wanted to spend messing with it but it was worth the effort in the end. Just wanted to add some context to what’s going on, thank you for your time checking out the channel! More videos coming soon stay tuned, consider subscribing as it’s free and helps me grow, like the videos, share, drop me a comment as well to help with the algorithm so my content has a chance to be recommended to more new viewers that like this type of content. Thanks to each and every one of you who’ve supported the channel in any way possible already, you are the best and I will never give up on sharing my passion for riding! The channel is still not monetized but it is a goal I am working towards as this isn’t my full time job and that would make things better for everyone. Planning on giving back to my community when I am able to get monetization, just need to get my watch hours up a bit to re-apply for it. Anyways thanks again for the time, ride on, stay safe, catch you in the next one, PEACE ✌️ ❤!

Thanks for watching, liking, subscribing, etc! Welcome to Offroad-Revolution! This is a section of my R&D track I’m currently building at my compound and this small technical double out of a turn is finally finished and I am happy with it. This is basically something smaller to warm up on and has allowed me to dial in my suspension and sag to perfection so now I need a lot more dirt to build a whole new line with a 75’ plus long tabletop or whatever as well as more so stay tuned. This is a work in progress and one of the small jumps so not going for any records here, just dialing in the speed and focusing on clean hits. In this one I dialed it back to catch the landing near the cones I have set up so I know how slow I can go and still clear it. If you watch my other video from the GoPro angle you can see me hit it faster at first and then slow up a bit each time after until I landed where I wanted too. Basically can roll up in 2nd gear and hit it at half throttle or so and it’s perfect plus I have space to go deeper if I want to. Now I just need a lot of dirt so I can get to work building the rest of the track. I also have several other machines I will be riding as well as new places to film when I get there so more is coming! Stay safe, ride on, catch you in the next one!

Too much to list has been done to this one, had it down to the frame and did a nut and bolt resto mod. There are more videos of it on my second channel, @ATC REVOLUTION , you can see all the things I've done throughout the different videos along the way.

@@bombshellgaming6820 Thank you!!! SOOOOO MUCH WORK went into this 350x to get it to this point and how I do appreciate it!!! I have other gems 💎 as well I plan on riding for the channel aside from this X so stay tuned! If you have any specific questions about mods or a certain part, etc I can gladly answer you but unfortunately I didn’t make up a build sheet for this one. I built it over a 6-8mo period while in the process of moving at one point so I really didn’t have the time I would have liked to document it more and never got around to it since lol.

I am incapable of giving up lol, this is what I live for besides family and friends. I've been riding a little of everything for 30 years and am a Vet at this point, raced 450cc AMA motocross in the past, as well as made a name for myself locally for going above and beyond making new free riding lines, jumps, hill climbs, etc being fearless and usually the first or only person to do a lot of things others couldn't do. Grew up in a rural area with dozens of abandoned strip mines all around my house so I played in the coal hills, spoil piles, and huge near vertical high wall hill climbs as well as trails and XC type of riding on basically 2, 3, and 4 wheels at some point every second I could. The mines were reclaimed in the 2010's and erased from earth so I don't have all the unbelievably awesome places to go and rip anymore with the HUGE stuff and options are very limited/lame nowadays. I'll never stop riding though either way, even if I have to build my own red bull imagination course around my house to ride like I truly want too lol. I learned to ride on a 79' Honda ATC110 3 wheeler and got that when i turned 4 so I am very comfortable on 3 wheels to say the least and can easily say I have the most fun on them. Thanks for the comment and words of encouragement!

That shitty chain slap reminds me of the standard original chain they cheaper out on😆💯
@OFFROAD-REVOLUTION
@OFFROAD-REVOLUTION 3 ай бұрын
My 2022 does the same thing when the chain starts to get on the loose side but still within spec. The stock case saver and front chain guard suck too, the design just traps in mud and rocks which wears the chain out even quicker. Went to an aftermarket case saver/guard and it’s about 50% better but still fills up with mud after enough riding. The Kawi’s are notorious for that chatter regardless of chain or sprockets… The chatter comes from the chain roller mostly btw…
@OFFROAD-REVOLUTION
@OFFROAD-REVOLUTION 3 ай бұрын
That’s about the only thing that does bother me about the bike so I may swap out the bottom roller for an aftermarket round one instead of the stock design that has the gear ⚙️ shape instead of the standard round roller. It seems like the chattering noise comes from that roller when the chain isn’t on the tight side. Experienced it on both my 2022 and this 2023 SR so I guess everyone deals with it for the most part but I’d like to see if a round roller reduces the chattering. Nothing like riding by people on a brand new bike with it making noises like that from the chain/roller lol 😂

Yep same with my 22,will try bottom roller also & was recommended to get higher quality chain as it will chop out sprockets quick, followed your lead with the vortex & full Ti6 exhaust what a difference night & day. Mines only a f version no sr unfortunately

What’s the build list on that bad boy?
@OFFROAD-REVOLUTION
@OFFROAD-REVOLUTION 3 ай бұрын
The list is pretty extensive to say the least lmao 😂. This looked nothing like it does now when I got it and it had a pretty hard life before I ended up with it so that’s why I went custom on this one as much as possible for a rider basically. Frame was cracked in the typical spots at the rear near the grab bar on both sides nearly broken clean off, both foot pegs where busted off at one point and bubble gummed back on, the forks where completely blown out, 3 days after I bought it I left for like the second ride on it and 5 minutes after I left it locked up on me in 6th gear on pavement.. All the rod bearings and part of the connecting rod blew out into the bottom end and destroyed all the cases so that was horrible.. I had to go through the whole thing down to every last nut and bolt, gusseted the frame, fixed the peg mounts as best as possible, and on and on, it needed A LOT of TLC but it was all totally worth it!

The thing hauls ass though with the NOS 86 engine, Rick’s hot shot CDI, aluminum airbox and Uni filter, full supertrapp exhaust with the open ended trapp cap, and jetted to perfection with an Easy Push Bullet Thumb Throttle and the flex bars, pro taper clutch perch, shorty levers, Rob Wicks/WMD foot pegs, BVC seat pan bracket and drilled pegs with cotter pins to hold the plastics on, skid plates from Noah Olson, Douglas 10” front wheel and beadlock rear Douglas wheels with 21” up front and 18”’s on the rear, extended rear axle, custom built forks with progressive springs, spring spacers, 20W fork oil, etc tuned to work as best as OEM possibly can be more or less without going to billet triple clamps and inverted forks, and a lot of other miscellaneous parts and pieces.

I have the 2022 Arctic Cat Alterra 90 version of that little Kymco, and Its mostly the same as the kfx under the plastic, but Big Gun doesn't show an exhaust for mine. The exploded parts diagrams the whole pipe looks the same, I have the dynojet stage 1, their jets go up to 92 but i stuck with the stock 80 because it seemed to sputter a lil. How much power do you think it gains just from the big gun? Is the pipe part (not the silencer) is the pipe bigger diameter than stock?
@OFFROAD-REVOLUTION
@OFFROAD-REVOLUTION 3 ай бұрын
I can’t remember the difference in the size of each headpipe to be honest, I put the exhaust on back in 2022. I’ll try to find the stock exhaust to compare it to the big gun and then let you know. I do remember when I put it on it seemed like it was made to fit multiple different machines and there was room to adjust where the silencer is at on the frame so it would probably work if it looks the same in diagrams. The exhaust system improved the power quite a bit and the header is a nice mandrel bent piece. I removed the snorkel from the air box lid so it’s vented a lot and I’m running a uni filter and did the jetting but it needs a little bigger main jet still so I need to do that soon.

The boy already has a KTM50SX, a Honda 185S, Yamaha 225DR, custom ATC 200 Auto-X widened+lowered+nerf bars I built him, as well as bigger machines for him to move up to when ready so he’s pretty much covered with everything. He wants to put more effort into the quad and race it for a few reasons, I used to race 450cc ATV AMA Motocross for several years and will always ride a little of everything, plus the sport quads are nearly dead and he doesn’t want to see the sport completely die because “dirt bikes” are cooler and wants to be different like I tend to do with certain things. At first he wanted to race three wheelers but there’s NOWHERE local that allows that. He also has a chip on his shoulder because the last time we both went to the track with quads to practice we were kicked out the second we pulled in because the track changed their rules without informing people and is strictly dirt bikes only now.. We were told to leave because all we had were our quads and that’s no longer allowed, I just paid for a year membership for both of us a couple weeks before that happened too and they didn’t even care, just get the quads out of here and come back if you have a bike.. I even offered to work for free and help run equipment to fix up the track when needed and possibly bring my own dozer, Bobcat, and backhoe so track maintenance wasn’t such a burden and still a big NO. That crushed my kids heart that day when he expected to ride and practice but was told no because he’s riding a fourwheeler.. Either way the kid rides a little of everything but this is where his ❤ is at and I’ll support it 1000% until I take my last breathe.
