I’m just interested in them because they have some historical significance and value. And mostly cuz they existed during the Second World War and Vietnam.

A quality made in USA product, a world renowned slice of Americana. Seemingly unlimited designs for every interest. With Zippo's soft, jet, and plasma inserts, old hand me downs are given new life in a more modern era. With a satisfying metalic clink, an enduring rendition on humans' ability to light up the dark.

I smoke, but not so much that I'd need a reusable lighter instead of disposable ones. But still, I carry zippo. A durable and windproof lighter is something you really start to appreciate in cold environments - personally, having a catalytic heater is my first and foremost reason to carry a lighter and some petrol. This thing has absolutely changed my life since I've started to carry it in winter, and zippo is just the easiest way to light it up.

Ate a bowl of Cheerios, watched this vid, tracked down a Duralast, drank a cup of coffee, off to the AP store. I dunno that I needed this video, but it understood the assignment 5 years before I needed it. I'm never getting rid of my FJ, it's a 2013 I bought new. Getting ready for winter.

I like having a couple of Zippo’s around my work bench if I want to shrink down heat shrink for doing electrical or heating up paracord ends if I’m making a lanyard. I have a larger knife in my right pocket that doesn’t come out much if I’m at work but I do carry a Swiss Army knife to open a package in the office so people don’t get scared of a small blade.

Have a 2011 pro4x with 150k …’still runs like brand new. Prolly most money has went into replacing usual suspension parts but I also live in Chicago where rust is a big issue. My family members have Subarus and they’ve had so many more engine problems with less mileage.

I'm 72, never smoked, but I own two Zippo lighters. They are great when camping because they light in adverse conditions. There is just something nostalgic about having a Zippo lighter, a Case knife, a Parker fountain pen, and a Timex watch.

A Zippo lighter feels good in the hand, makes a satisfying noise when you flip it open and is a portable fire tool. So cool! 😊 Good to have in my pocket.

I have had similar experiences. I'm 16 so I obviously still live with my parents and one day my dad came into my room to tell me something and saw me playing with my Zippo lighter I had just bought, and he was furious. His mind instantly went to thinking I was using it to smoke and not just to light campfires and to play with when I'm bored. Another thing I find odd about owning a zippo is when I go into my local smoke shop to buy more fuel, more flints, or a wick, I am always catching weird looks from everyone in the store and sometimes the store clerk will try to ID me because people automatically associate a lighter with things people my age can't legally do.

I don’t smoke or anything but I actually use both for work. The knife for opening boxes and stuff the zippo for burning ends of rope and other stuff. An example I had recently was we were redoing some wiring and we had the shrink wrap tube ready but no heat source to shrink it. I pulled out my zippo got it done.

I’ve had a ‘17 Pro4X for about 8 months now. Been a strong & reliable performer, but there are a few things they fell a little short on. The fuel economy. I get around 15 mpg around town, which is no better than my old full sized Chevy. If it had had a better transmission, with a higher overdrive, I have no doubt that it would be better. Myself, I wish I had the 6 speed manual. The back seat is a strictly short trip thing. If you’ve ever ridden in the back of a deuce & a half, it’s a little better than that. The backup camera is not very clear, and the screen is such that, given the slightest glare, and it’s invisible. And if you’re wearing polarized sunglasses, you can’t see it at all. The power assist steering doesn’t offer much assistance at slow speeds, when you need it the most. Dated styling? Subjective, and some won’t care.

I have a 2017 4.0 v6 with just under 143k miles now, I bought it with 132k and put 10k on it within 8 months. It has been reliable as a brick and I am very happy with the power it has compared to my last truck that was a 2003 ford ranger with the 3.0 V6. I have only two things I don’t like about it. The first I have seen others talk about, the turning radius is not good. My Ranger would turn inside the turning circle of the frontier. The second I haven’t seen anyone else mention on this video but I have seen elsewhere, mine is plagued by the startup rattle. Upon a cold startup (2+ hours of sitting) the timing chain rattles its brains out for about 2 seconds before going quiet. If anyone else has this problem you can hold the gas pedal to the floor so the engine won’t start and crank the it for about 3 seconds before lifting your foot and letting it start. It’s not ideal I know, but the problem is more than likely the secondary tensioner being worn out and needing oil pressure to build in the primary tensioner before the chain won’t rattle it. The repair requires an expensive shop bill or decent mechanical knowledge so this might be the best option for you at the moment. Overall I love the truck though and am hoping to get over 200k out of it. Great video.

A better fix might be to grind or polish the surface that contacts the locking tab, with a Dremel tool or equivalent, so the tab can move freely into a good position behind the blade. 👈
