my grandma had a 1988 E reg burgundy 1.1 it ran beautifully only a couple of years old when she bought it.

hows the fiesta mk2 going?
@Rsspecial110 жыл бұрын
currently having issues with electrics, changed ignition amplifier but still cutting out, so going to change the coil next and from there check all wiring. I know it's not the carb so just a case of finding the problem. it's intermittent so very annoying.

leasts its one of few examples surviving.

this an XR2 stupid question?
@Rsspecial110 жыл бұрын
its a standard xr2 engine [the 1.6 CVH] but the car itself is a limited edition festival, still a mk2 fiesta, but without the xr2 body kit etc, and originally would have had a 1.2 engine [possibly with automatic CVT gearbox] in terms of the badge, ultra rare, since this car is a phase 1 of the festival limited edition, they did a phase 2 the year after.

Hi nice lawn tractor :) i bought on myself going to do it up what model are they as i cant find and information on them.
@Rsspecial110 жыл бұрын
i will have a look today for you and let you know as im not sure on the model either. I know its the same as other brands of lawn tractor, just differnt colours and stickers, so parts should be easy enough to find. I think they're made in Canada orginally.

how much HP?
@Rsspecial110 жыл бұрын
standard i think this one is the 76ps engine [which is about 75BHP] but with what i've done to it, i reckon a sensible estimate now would be in the early 80's, ie 83 - 85 BHP dont think it'll do anymore without a turbo bolted on hahaha, but it goes well once up to speed!
@jaggass10 жыл бұрын
the 2.5 DI turbo transit Is quite rare I think ex rac vans were turbo
@Rsspecial110 жыл бұрын
michael jagger I also have a feeling the ambulances were V6 petrol, but i might be thinking of the older mk2 and early mk3 transits, not sure! lol
@jaggass10 жыл бұрын
some mk2/3 early ambulances were essex V6's or cologne V6's

Did that fit on as it was or it have to be adapted?
@Rsspecial110 жыл бұрын
had to be modified to fit properly
@TheConradChannel10 жыл бұрын
Figured that. Side exit is cool though. Thanks for the reply. Got any video of what it sounds like driving? Bit of a bark off it there, not too bad :)
@Rsspecial110 жыл бұрын
The Conrad Channel funnily enough im going to be doing a video of it so i can hear what it sounds like myself. i've since put on a differnt air filter too which gives it even more of a bark, it's a pleasure to drive aswell, pretty nippy. So i'll get the video done soon whilst we have nice weather! To fit it, the side pipe had to be shortened about an inch and a half and then i added a new exhaust mount.
@TheConradChannel10 жыл бұрын
Rsspecial1 That's not very extreme modification there really. so a nice result for not too much fuss
@Janaitis10 жыл бұрын
Have you fixed it ???
@Rsspecial110 жыл бұрын
not yet but will do when the weather is better as its too wet outside to start taking it apart. Need to sort out the ignition mondule/magnet.

usual places for rust bottom of the back doors. back doors are easy to find wheel arches, footwells. them 2.5DI's can go round the clock a couple of times.

youre right that engine might of dated back to 1959 but it was one hell of a reliable engine despite constant adjustments of the tappets or valves
@jaggass10 жыл бұрын
reliable engine
@jaggass10 жыл бұрын
ive noticed you have had the bottom of your back doors plated over they rusted so bad at the bottom of them water trap.
@Rsspecial110 жыл бұрын
Yeah they've got some chequer plate over the bottoms, got the van like it! the old transits do like to rust! hahaha, but like you said, the engines are brilliantly reliable. will go forever.
@jaggass10 жыл бұрын
transit's has to be the uk best selling van. forget the rust but people bought them because they were durable. I hope the new ford transit custom has conquered the rust problem. even post 2000 transits rust.
@Rsspecial110 жыл бұрын
I always wanted a transit, i grew up with them being used to run the country, from BT vans to ambulances, police, royal mail etc. So i've always wanted one. I hope to do the bits and peices on this one to make it a good example, planning on keeping it for good - but got lots of bits to do in the spring time when its warmer.
@jaggass10 жыл бұрын
yes I remember the 1999 advert for the transit with a slade song in it. the british remained loyal to ford as the vans were built in Southampton. I remember the old postie vans grey BT Vans AA etc

There are no bow thrusters or aids on this boat. This is all done with throttle control in forwards and reverse and with full lock steering - how it should be done. Maybe in the wind bow thrusters can be good on larger boats or at sea but for norfolk on a boat this size [a mere 28ft] it'd be pointless.
@JonnyJones121111 жыл бұрын
