Interesting that you chose magic as the best stat to level up for Bowser. From what I've seen, it seems like most people consider Bowser's magic not worth leveling up for the same reason as Mallow's physical.
@QuestingCouch2 ай бұрын
I would agree with them for the snes version. But the end game bosses are no joke in the remake, as there weren’t any in the snes version. You won’t get past them with brute force, you need to use more strategy and use bowser’s spells. Mallow you can get away with just magic though. His physical still isn’t very good or useful in this one.

I divided my island much more unevenly. I allowed my nephew to name his own character, and place his house, and decorate his house, but the island is mine, since it is my Switch and I play it much more, and not just when I visit. I also boosted him as much as I could so that he could progress faster in just a few days. Giving him loads of bells so that he would not have to save up and take a long time to have enough.
@QuestingCouch3 ай бұрын
I take it you have the bigger chunk of the island 🏝️ haha
@yosefmacgruber19203 ай бұрын
@@QuestingCouch Well I gave him his choice of about 3 areas on the island to place his house, and gave his house a nice patio. The rest of the island is mine. I would say that is "way bigger". I also finished his house for him, but he is free to make changes, and I tried to keep to his design choices mostly. And for some reason, his house is the only house of 8, that has a garage. Well I had to put that truck _somewhere_ ? Has some arcade games and a pirate treasure chest in his garage room also. I like where he placed his house, and I named the street that it is on, after his character's name. I have not moved much stuff on the island. I moved a villager to make room for a castle facade around the museum. I moved the Able Sisters and one of my human characters house to make way for my huge castle to be further expanded. And I told him that I have now added a train and train tracks. It took me hours creating the custom patterns for the train tracks. I need 2 of the possible 4 corners, and a Horizontal Tracks and Vertical Tracks. My island is too crowded and cluttered to do a tram system ride around the island, so instead it comes out of a tunnel in the cliff face underneath my castle, some of which is covered by Storefronts to make it appear to have 2nd floor beneath, runs for a fair distance and then the tracks disappear behind a house, so that I did not have to create a 2nd tunnel. So the "fun" of this amusement park type ride, must be down there below the cliffs where the train disappears into. The tunnel is just a few columns with a Tall File Cabinet behind turned around backwards, because I did not know how else to paint my cliff-face black to indicate a tunnel opening. I am open to suggestions. Of course the train doesn't actually do much. It is that train engine that you can order with miles, and pressing the action button, it just moves around a little like some sort of kiddie ride. I did customize it to black, because black had nice color accents and made it look more serious and not so much like a colorful toy. I got the idea for the train from another YT video. But I could not download custom patterns for the tracks, because I do not yet have Nintendo Online, so I just drew my own. I kept all the unused pixels to transparent, so that it would work okay upon different path colors or on grass. I already used up most of my custom patterns, but I calculated that I could afford to use up just 4 more. But I think I have done my train better than most. It has 4 Crew Member Chairs of all 4 colors, and 4 different colored Mining Cars. Placing the chairs on the tracks, right behind the engine, it really looks like part of the train.

@@QuestingCouch Yet he has his own phone and his own video games. Yeah, ACNH is apparently more fun than drawing with a pencil or pen, and more fun that mere Lego bricks, which multiple Lego sets would be rather expensive these ByeDone-inflation days. His old uncle with the a-few cool video games, is one of so many distractions in the world. Since it is my game system, I designed my island, I only gave him a character and a house, and I finished it for him, although he changed the exterior the last time we met. I wish he could get his own island, I would love to see what he could do with it. I spend too much time playing this game, and yet I am running out of stuff that I can buy. What even is the goal anymore? To get those last few items added to my catalog or recipes? Pile up more millions of bells that I can not use? 7 out of 8 of my human players have paid off their basement-build debt, including my nephew's character, that I paid for him. 6 players have fully-expanded 5000-item storage capacity. I built up my island a bit at a time. I see some space near the beach where I could build more faux buildings, but there are none that I want to build just yet. I would have to clear out some useless bamboo trees. Just don't need them anymore, what do I build out of bamboo anymore? I have plenty in storage, so just 1 bamboo tree would be plenty. I am seriously exploring leaving the has-been corrupt USA, maybe someday I could build something in the real world? The evil deep state elitists want to keep us poor and oppressed. Where is a Tom Nook or a Trump when you need one? Sure, Tom Nook might be rich, but he did not build his wealth by stepping on the backs of the poor, and he would not allow anybody on his island to be homeless, insists that everybody must have at least a tent, a cot, and a mailbox. I wonder if Tom Nook is a Republican? Maybe if he lived in has-been corrupt USA, but why-ever did he beg and borrow from every friend he had to buy an island? Probably like me, he was tired of all the political BS. Amazing that his passport has no expiration/renewal date, and unlike many countries, you only have to live on the island for 1 day to get lifetime citizenship. You do not really even have to spend much money if you do not want to. I would suggest at least building a basic hut though. That tent might look rather ragged after 3 years of weather and neglect. At least nobody will steal your stuff, even if just stored inside your tent. I am not the best artist to draw my own custom patterns, but it is a handy excuse to try to improve. I do not have Nintendo Online, and so if I want some cool custom patterns, I am obviously drawing them myself. I think I have worn out the colored bricks siding thing for my standees, any more and I will have to do stone or some sort of siding planks. What fun having to coordinate the colors to meld the edges of my standees together to look like they are all one piece. My island is way too small to try out all those crazy gingerbread factory or scrap-booking themed islands, you have to use up most of your custom patterns just to do such a cool theme. I already have used most of mine up, and I do not think that I want to "flatten my island" until some software upgrade allows us to store multiple islands on the same Switch? Think that will ever happen? My nephew did give me a brief compliment, as my island was much more built up than his and his brothers' friend who left his Switch there for days. That is probably most of his experience with ACNH unless he watches the videos on YT like I started doing more as my island starts getting a bit old and stale. So many amazing builds and a lot of good ideas that island creators have. My oldest nephew has a gaming PC with 2 monitors. I do not even have that, well except on my island. I should get into designing levels or mods for some other video games though, such as for _Half-Life._ I like the industrial look, but that massive Black Mesa Research Facility, it is hard to even find a restroom or a place to sit down. They could afford to make it so enormous, yet could not afford more lounges and office furniture? Could not even afford guard rails, because who cares about safety when you live or work in a mere video game place? They are probably doing good to go 3 days without yet another accident, and that was before the big disaster.

Comparing this to Minecraft's Creative Mode is like comparing a delicious cake to raw liver. Creative Mode is BUILT IN to Minecraft; anyone can access it without outside means, like a hacking program. Modding your console like this is not what's intended for you to do. This IS cheating, no matter how you look at it. This is NOT the way we are meant to get items, money, villagers, and so on. It's like those cheating chumps that hand out hacked Pokémon in Surprise Trades; they have to CHEAT/HACK/MOD to get those Hackmons in the first place 🙄 No, this is NOT okay, and I hope that Nintendo catches on to this blantly illegal system.
@QuestingCouch4 ай бұрын
Who cares? What does it affect you if someone has access to all the furniture and villagers? People mod games all the time. League of Legends and DOTA were mods of Warcraft 3 originally. Mods are great to add more variety and play styles for everyone to enjoy. If creative mode wasn’t built into Minecraft, and someone modded it to be in the game. I’d be fine with it. And if Nintendo saw these treasure islands and decided to add a creative mode because of it, that would be great 👍

Bro chill. I don't want to waste hours of my life grinding for resources, bells, items and villagers. Not everyone has that sort of time. Besides it's fun playing this way. Who really cares how other people play?
@earthaforester31412 ай бұрын
I've wasted so many hours - days - months! - of my life grinding out nook miles for tickets to go on villager hunts, and then not even finding the villagers I want. Hours of tedious, repetitive, unenjoyable toil for nothing. There are so many poorly designed features of the game that drag down its fun and playability when played straight. When HHP came out, we all freaked out because you could design villager houses in full creative mode, and unlock items to order for your island instead of having to wait FOREVER for Nooks Cranky to randomly generate them. The most incredible islands I've ever seen are only able to exist because people use treasure islands (and time travel - but you probably consider that cheating, too). Creative mode is a serious feature that the game is lacking - among other things. There is nothing wrong with the gaming community making a game more fun and enjoyable for each other - the literal purpose of games is to have fun. We all paid for this game (I assure you, Nintendo got their money and they don't need to be defended), and we still spend hundreds - even thousands - of hours playing it BECAUSE OF modding. Interest in the game would likely plummet if we didn't have these features - they keep the game alive and worth playing. Treasure islands also combat predatory trading / selling and scammers (like actually swindling people out of money to get Raymond on nookazon or whatever). Plus, Nintendo will use a lot of the modded features and player feedback to design the next Animal Crossing game with; we're basically doing free research for them - that's how it works. In fact, I'm willing to bet it's the reason they came out with the 2.0 update in the first place. Video game companies are not our overlords whose vision we are rigidly confined to. Quit being such a boot-licker; you sound like you live in a box. Why do you even care? Seriously.
