American slavery was not based on kidnapping and selling people. Most American slaves were born into slavery, and this was allowed by God in the Old Testament as well. New slaves were most often purchased from African slave traders in Africa, not kidnapped by the American slave traders themselves. And this was also allowed God in the Old Testament as well. The Christian God condoned and commanded chattel slavery, and it is actually sickening to see African Americans today defending and excusing it.

Nope. Exodus 21:16 does not prohibit slavery. Kidnapping people was against the law in the Antebellum South. It didn't prevent slavery. Kidnanpping people was not the only way of obtaining slaves in Ancient Israel. Slaves could be taken from conquered people (which is kidnapping!), purchased without regards to provenenance, and born into lifelong slavery. The Old Testament is full of examples of the Israelites enslaving people against their will, and even kidnapping them, in the name of their God. The fact is that ALL of Exodus 21 is addressing how Israelites should treat their fellow Israelites. Not non-Israelites. This past obviously does not know his Bible very well.
