It is 250FC. Not sure if you are familiar with TORCS (Texas Off Road Championship Series) classes, but the 250F allows bikes up to 300cc (2 or 4 stroke), and the C is for the skill level. There are 5 skill levels for big bikes: Pro, A, B, C and D, so there is still a long way to go to the top :)

Thanks! You beat me in the end though! I hope I last longer in the next race, you must be in shape!

Good race man. I also became fatigued on my 3rd lap after going down twice by accidently hitting neutral on a hill. Had to pull over and ended up pulling off.
@674racing Жыл бұрын
It was rough. I was literally feeling dizzy towards the end and also decided to quit, part because of the bent radiator, part because I couldn't take it any more. It took me a good hour under the shade and a few gatorades to get back to normal.

Just found your video, hope you were okay. I noticed before i saw your video, there is a guy who did the same race and he was one of the guys stuck up the hill also. Watch his video and shows how he fell. His channel is bike n bird. It was dunny because i recognized the clip and than had to go back and watch it and realized you bot were recording.

Brooo that was close on that last clip!!!

Yeah, it was, but I really really didn't want to have to turn around like the first time 😅 I just wanted to make it to the top even if it meant barely making it and stalling so I didn't run anyone over.

Yeah, I've worn a brace for a few days and it is much better. Hopefully in time for next race, and I need to sort out those jumps!

Great race man! You were hot on my tail (930) for a good minute and I placed 7th. If I could give you any words of advice, and its something that helped me significantly with these races is whatever gear you're normally in go one gear higher. There were some times in your first 20 mins that you would have caught me given you were in a taller gear. I won't be at the December race, but look forward to seeing you in January! Keep up the great work man! loved the footage.
@674racing3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! I'll definitely try a higher gear next race. Not being an idiot with that tree would have also helped, my lesson there is sometimes a small step back can let you take 2 forward. Looking forward to next year too!

glad you're ok...that coulda been ugly. looks like you lost the front in that rut. was in same race, not my favorite location, place is like frickin concrete, except for the woods...
@674racing3 жыл бұрын
Good thing I wasn't going too fast, although that is likely why I relaxed and wasn't paying too much attention. Lesson learned. That tree made it plenty fast in no time. I saw your start video, nice start! Glad you're OK too after those falls.

@@674racing Yeh, the ER said good to go, nothing broken...thx! lol, I was like wtf, now what do I do? haha. This is my first full season of this...came from sport bike track world, been riding off-road casually for about 3 years and it's alien. Just an old late bloomer, can't wait to get into the 60+C class, haha. Was intending to take it easy in Open D and just ride the course, and race 50+C, that didn't go as planned...
@674racing3 жыл бұрын
@@hoptard If ain't broke, don't fix it! That's funny, I am actually off to COTA for the first time in a couple of weeks, on an MT-09. Not your typical track bike, but it is what it is. I had never raced before any of this and am loving it. Just hoping to get faster without getting hurt (or hurting anybody else). Was also planning to race on Sunday (Sportman D), didn't make it either. There is always next time though, can't wait!

@@674racing Ahhh, must be doing the RideSmart deal........Dude, that's too funny., I have a FZ09 sitting in storage, it's a 2014 with about 2500 miles on it, got the full Akra system on it.....BE CAREFUL with it at track cuz the footpegs sit a little lower than normal sport bikes, also the kick stand (it could possibly drag in corners, might see if you can take it off for the track day). Back in 2011, was at California Speedway with my girlfriend at the time, she tracked her Ducati Monster (same situation), kickstand and pegs were lower and she caught pavement while leaned in a corner, lifted rear wheel enough to cause a high-side, was filming behind her and got it all on gopro. Have you swapped out Yamaha's crappy rear shock yet?.....the Penske single clicker is a good one to add, the double and triple go up in price, but are a lot better.
