Sick project, nice execution. The best advice I can give: Get yourself a 3D printer, you could print a rubber seal (with TPU) for the cutout where the air filter hose goes through. That would make it look 10/10.

I would personally also close the top so that no warm air from the engine block comes through the cracks under the hood to the filter, then you really have cold air, which is what you really want.

You guys are worthless in these comments. The fan is lose and when running it sounds loud asf as if there was a lose fan. I’m not sure if I need to replace the whole thing. I’m looking for videos on how to replace just the fan but you guys suck.

I’ll be honest with you. Probably not. For me *PERSONALLY* I feel a better throttle response, and obviously a deeper tone in the exhaust. As for fuel, probably no better no worse. However now I’m running a different setup. More videos to come in the future! Thank you for your comment🤟🏽

Not bagging anyone who does this, hell I've even considered it myself just to hear the supercharger, but always been curious as to why they are called "cold air intake" as they have been proven to increase the incoming ambient air temperature, however the only benefit is the airflow won't be as restricted as the factory box.

This is a super common thought! However it’s been tested and measured. After the air gets pushed through the intercooler it has little to no difference!

Hey! So this was just temporary till I built a proper “air filter” box, there’s an alternative video for that, as for the filter, I replace it every 30k and wash and clean it in between

Thats not the bearing. I faced same problem. Its the in the armature, any one or more commuter shard bend in wear and tear and that touches with the casing. That's making sound. Only solution replace fan

It was just the fan blade..could have actually been way worse i bought mines with a few blades missing on my fan clutch

Just put a cheap electric fan in. Use the old wires and plug into the harness like the original. Don't replace the shroud or other stuff. Just the factory broken fan.

My g37 is over heating n my fan doesint work at all so Iam thinking that’s what my problem is but I gotta get a hole new fan n stuff
