FYI - the left hand trail you took at 22:34 took you off Fifth Horseman via a ride around that avoids the iconic rock staircase that is most challenging part of fifth

I don't understand how your mate just rode off that wood feature on Rock City. That thing looks intimidating af irl. I always do the ride around, I might have to give it a go after seeing matey boy just "fall" off it.
@Kembull27 күн бұрын
Maddog aye, it’s a scary feature huh. We’ve only ridden it the one time lol

You feel your riding is progressing much ?
@KembullАй бұрын
In some aspects yes and in some no. The ability to ride bigger features is slowly coming along from being here. But the skills I was practicing every day at home when cycling to work, wheelies, stoppies, manuals, track stands and more of the likes has stayed stagnant as I haven’t put any time into them recently.

How big is whistler compared to what we got ?
@KembullАй бұрын
In terms of all out scale, I'm not sure. I feel like Whistler Bike Park, including Creekside and Rotorua's Redwoods would be somewhat similar size, except Whistler has so much more elevation than Rotorua. The trail building over here and the type of dirt make this place come alive too. Man does it get blown out though haha

I’ve spent hours and hours practicing track stands and riding along curbs since breaking my ankle to prepare for these things, it’s made a huge difference in my riding and I would encourage anyone who wants to improve to spend time working on your on bike balance 👌👌

The rock features and jumps here are undeniable. But man do I miss the dirt the Redwoods has, that golden, sandy, loamy fluff is still my favourite type of dirt to ride.

This is a sanctioned trail in the Alice Lake Mountain Bike Park, should we not ride our bikes in bike parks? Where do you propose we ride our “mountain” bikes apart from on mountains? 😂
