Thanks! All trains go to Folsom now after the new double track opened for Foslom 15 min service. Sunrise bound trains are only on Weekends now and very early weekday mornings. Also, a lot of the old trains don't announce the bound trains anymore on the Gold Line since the new S700s started running.

They changed the station announcement voice from a male to female voice recently.

The UP Placerville Branch was split from the section that is now owned by the P&SVRR in the 80s after development in Folsom widened Folsom Blvd and new intersections were built in the 90s along Folsom Blvd (Iron Point Rd, Natoma Station Dr, Parkshore Dr, and Glenn Dr). The track was abandoned east of Rancho Cordova back then which is why they built over the former right of way of the SP Line and the active section ended just east of Birkmont Dr after devepment even though thatbsection still wasn't used anymore back then as trains only went to Aerojet on the now non existing Aerojet Spur. When construction started on the Folsom SACRT Gold Line Phase 3 Extension construction in 2004/2005, they cut the line again to the Hazel Station as a tail track and thats only because the Aerojet Spur was still active off the line in its final days as years later in 2008 or 09, the spur was removed but its turn out is still attached to the Placerville Branch. Today, trains do not pass Nimbus Rd on that line since 2009. Only if really needed as I only caught it once past Nimbus Rd. The Hazel Section will be removed in the future when the light rail gets double tracked at Hazel Station.

Trucks keep hitting it that aren't making wide turns. They took them off for now until they can fix it.

This is a normal design for a city parallel intersection crossing for both gated signal to sport aidelights even on the extend. Whats stupid is that SACRT had several dozen of problems during construction and flaws with this whole double tracking project. They cut things out and one of them being a sidewalk that was supposed to go right under the sidelights just like every other crossing with that setup on SACRT has them iver a sidewalk so the curbs act like a buffer and cars and trucks know not to roll there. Also, truck drivers are very reckles nowadays at crossings. Crossings that normal never had truck damage incidents in decades are since built now do as soon as the 2020s came. I guess uts easier for people to gey CDL liscenses nowadays, not sure why 2020s came and sudenly, trucks hit everything at crossings more than before.
