Watching you play sure brings back memories of learning to play guitar when I was about your age. Idk how long you've been playing but you're playing pretty decent already. I can tell that you're well on your way. As long as you keep practicing and playing on the regular, within a few months you'll start noticing your speed will increase and you'll be able to nail those hammer-on notes with a crisp, clean sound every time. Keep up the good work. 👍 🎸

Good job, I can see you're new so I'm going to give you unsolicited advice, take it or leave it. 1: Keep your picking wrist relaxed, you can open your fingers or close them, its up to you. 2: learn how to palm mute, use the palm of your hand on the very end of the strings above the bridge to get a meaty sound. (usually in thrash it falls down on the 0-0-0-0 and the melodies arent palm muted) 3: focus on where the pick falls on the string, you dont want too much pick under the string yet you dont want too little so you dont make sound. I've seen the pick get "stuck" on the strings which means youre putting in too much pick.

You should take a pick, and if you don't want to buy some then make it from a piece of wood or plastic box with a scissor. It will be easier to learn metallica at the right speed and with more accuracy
