As we got out of the car a patrol car just so happened to be driving by and asked us where we were headed. I simply told him we were going hiking in the other direction and he left us alone. As far as when we were there, no one really patrols it, there is one camera on the other side of the dam but it is facing the asphalt road and as long as you don't go on that road you'll be fine.
