Im staying in the Excelsior Grand in Valetta next summer. It has its own small harbour and a beach. Will it be worth putting some ultralight gear in my case? Is it a good spot to fish?

That was where I filmed this video! I did spot some massive tuna looking fish in the harbour, and nearly hooked 1. I dont think you can fish in the beach area due to swimmers. But definitely worth taking a travel rod!

9:12 is a Baby Grouper, I hope you release it, minimum size to keep is 45cm, the next fish was a baby amberjack.

Believe that one at 8:48 is a baby dusky grouper mate, I had one on bread under a float last year, doing some looking to try sus out the lure fishing in Malta as I'm back out there this weekend and have only ever fished with bread under a float and wanted to try something different. Nice to see some catches though. Shame about the all the foul hooks but thats fishing i suppose

No actually it is a very young white grouper they are not too common like a dusky
