Give the Elecom Deft Pro a try. As a long time trackball user (I mainly use the Kensington Expert Mouse), I can only say thumb operated trackballs are the worst and it's literally false advertisement that it won't harm your hands. Unless your thumb doesn't count as your hand, you're just trading harming your thumb for your protecting your wrist. You'd either pick an index/middle finger operated one or a palm operated one if you really want to go for comfort. I ditched the MX Ergo and similar styled mouses the moment I touched the display unit since I noticed unless someone do something with the friction on the trackball, your thumb is asking to be hurt if the trackball is hard to spin. The only thumb operated trackball that I'm willing to test and daily drive on right now is the Elecom IST ball bearing version, that model has considerably less friction than traditional trackballs, thus minimizing thumb movement to the point that you can operate the mouse with ease. But unless every manufacturer start using ball bearing as the support mechanism, I don't see the merit of using a thumb operated trackball unless you're new to the scene and don't know how to operate a normal trackball. Index/middle finger operated trackballs and palm operated ones are more of a thing in Japan and it's a shame that it's often put into the niche category considering Kensington of all companies leading the trackball business was an American company. But I'd say Elecom is doing great these days and they're more ergonomically conscious and hell a lot cheaper than Logitech. The only reason why thumb operated trackballs even sells was Logitech's brand recognition is just over the top and that's the only type of trackball they're making, thus leading to false advertisement on thumb operated trackballs won't harm your hands. Once getting past the idea of your index and middle fingers are the one rolling the ball and your thumb is doing most of the clicking (while there was one switch located directly under the ring finger providing a surprisingly useful and confortable way of hitting the right click), you'll see why a lot of trackball geeks out there prize the Deft Pro as a really decent trackball.

I have been using 2 different Logitech Track balls for about 20 years. In the last couple of years, I have developed pain in my thumb joint. I loved them and how they worked and felt. Now I am looking to get a mouse to rest my thumb and see if it will improve. I disliked having to move a mouse around in a small desk area. So I may opt for their Lift or the Mx Vertical, and give my thumb some well needed relief. I am a basic computer user, but can open a few hours at the computer.

Which cable have you used to connect it to your PC? It doesn’t seem to work for me. I tried with usb-c and mini display port to HDMI paired with Anker mini docking station (as my MacBook air doesn’t have the port) and while it can see the computer with both input sources it keeps telling me to turn on the input device for some reason and doesn’t connect! 😫

Great question, so I almost lost my mind when setting up the monitor because non of my "powerful" USB cables would get it to connect to my MacBook Pro or Mac mini. Then I found out that you need the official apple thunderbolt USB cable. Luckily, I had an extremely powerful USB cable that came with my Canon R5 and that worked. I hope that makes sense.

@@Raouf_Raouf1 hey, not 100% sure what you mean but as soon as you set up the watch it's linked to your account. So you can download the polar flow app on your computer and use that to sync the watch. In that way the watch functions by itself and syncs with your laptop whenever you want. Hope that makes sense.

Interesting. Not my experience at all. I'm 195cm/80kg and had Aeron's at both work and home office for over a decade. But in both the B or C I found pressure points after sitting in it for long periods - side of my butt, top of the backrest and front edge under my legs. I had Aerons with Posturefit and classic lumbar support. The Cosm was designed for modern workspaces where hot desking is common. Few people fully adjust a chair to their preferences, especially if they might be in a different seat the next day (or even later the same day). Many home offices are shared by partners. So it's designed to work with just the single height adjustment. For me Cosm is comfortable for long periods. The single mesh from below front edge to beyond top of backrest means no hard edges. The leaf arms are the first useful arms I've ever had on a work chair - any others stopped the chair getting close enough to the desk. You shouldn't be using them when typing, but when sitting back on a video call or reading they're perfect - there when you need them, but not in the way when you don't. If you want to recline more you lower the chair - that changes the balance, and then put it back up when you return to typing. That all may be specific to my height/weight/build but that seems unlikely. It does also look fantastic - every part of the Cosm is sculptural. It also way lighter than the Aeron. Very happy having having traded my Aeron for the Cosm

Have the static UI elements in the softwares ever bothered you? Like from a burn in perspective. How the text clarity on the monitor?
@techloto23 күн бұрын
Sorry I missed this, but it's absolutely not the best monitor for working with text. It's sharp and great for video content but for some strange reason cheaper curved monitors produce much better text recognition. That being said, I'd never go back to a cheaper curved monitor for video editing. This is just too perfect.
