I agree with u. He was abit before my time. I loved his Garden party and traveling man. Watchbthe reruns of Oszzie and Harriet shows.

I loved Ricky Nelson more than I liked Elvis. In 1985 shortly before he died, I was so fortunate to see Ricky play in a small bar in Bloomington Indiana called the Blue Bird. It was packed with Indiana University students who had watched reruns of The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet and were just as excited as I was to see him. His death was a great loss. But his sons definitely inherited his talent and use their own unique style to make their own formidable mark in the music industry.

If I’m right he took over from elvis when he went into the army that’s how good Ricky was.

Had the pleasure of meeting the twins and their sister at Mountain Meadows camp where I worked as a young man! Matt and Gunner played After the Rain in my buddy's cabin and I almost broke into tears hearing them sing! A couple months later I saw their new album of the same name and bought it, played that cassette until it wore out! God bless the wonderful folks the Nelson family truly are!

These guys should hire some songwriters and come up with something fresher than this tired old stuff.

Rick's boys are fabulous! Sam looks so much like him. Matt and Gunnar resemble him also but they have their mother's looks and hair colour....RIP Rick and be proud!

Way back in 1973, before most anyone had heard of BTO, and even though they were canadian, they lived a little north of me in the border community of Blaine, WA, on a farm that Bachman brothers owned. It's there that they wrote most, if. not all of the numbers for their first 2 albums, including this iconic song. The cool part is, before they started their first tour they did a series of very-small-venue appearances all over Washington State - sort of a road trip shake-down tour. A few of the songs from their first album were getting significant play time on local FM stations (Gimme' You Money Please/ Little Gandy Dancer, etc), they were just starting to get traction nationally, and I'd already bought the first album. When I heard they were booked to do a show near me, at a converted movie theater in the tiny town Roy, WA, I called all of my friends (most of whom had never heard them) and we made the 45 min drive to Roy where we, along with maybe another 100 folks, were literally blown away by probably the best live show I've ever seen. It's truly one of the best memories of my early life.

See these are musicians … to be a musician you have to be able to play an instrument and or sing…. Poor kids today worship rap.. it’s not music it’s poetry to a computer generated best… this was and is the best era for music.. dudes had talent back then
