I think it's great that you made a short, simple video on the basic art of sanitizing. Good job! I think a lot of people skip these steps thinking they are not important because they don't know how and or no one has taught them the proper way. I come from the suburbs and no one taught me, and when I learned to can, they just spik over it and tell you to sterilize but don't tell you exactly what and how. So thank you. Its the same on hats with mosquito nets or bee hats. The net in front of the face is black because otherwise you can't see as well.

1. Good, to the point, video! 2. Use paint that is not glossy. 3. I would paint it after installed. Seems easier and you'd be painting only what you need...saving paint and time.

I've been painting chicken wire black for 30 years and never knew it had a use. It's just a hobby of mine, I own 0 chickens.

Fun fact: in Germany it's called rabbit wire (Hasendraht).

I once painted screen silver to obscure what was on the other side.

that's way cool... and if you use Flat Black it will absorb light when gloss black would reflect some light because of it's shine.... now I need to get some chickens just to do this... oh, damn, I'm living on the 5th floor of an apartment building in the center of a city... maybe I can get my neighbor to do that with her window screens... 😉

The white doesn’t just distract your eye, it floods your eye with light from the barrier instead of what’s behind it. Use matte black, not gloss black.

This isn’t chicken wire. It’s hardware cloth.
