I plugged my 17.5 amp hr battery to the charger and there is not light at all. No green or red light. Is my battery faulty? For reference I plugged my 7 am hr battery and the light is green.

It sounds like the charger is not working. It should show a green light when connected at the wall.

So I just received my 17.5 amp hour battery and I have a nother 17.5 amp hour battery. I put them both to charge with the supplied charger. The light on the charger has not turned green. And the new charger feels really warm. Could the battery be bad?

Rather than polyester resin, use epoxy resin. It doesn't damage the foam. I'm intrigued at the idea of using clear varnish as the sealing resin. It's not going to add much strength but on foamies, I guess it doesn't need much.

Didn't work for me. I tried several times. Almost gave up. Then I turned the throttle of exactly after the first 4 beeps, and that did it. Just hope I did not change any other setting with all the trying. I am a bit worried about that.

It is very difficult to fly off grass. The pilot in the video has some experience with his foot shove followed by throttle. It almost always noses over in grass. Bigger wheels and spacers 4mm > 8mm do not help much. You pretty much need to get it moving and bang the throttle to get it moving quick or it will nose. Forget taxiing on grass ever. I love the 109 and it flies great but I rarely fly it cause I am stuck with a grass field. Will takeoff great from a dirt baseball diamond though!

Can you use a solar panel to charge these, what sort of set up would be required ?
@brandongoh89004 жыл бұрын
Yes you can but you will need a special lithium charge controller. Panel size will depend on whether you're charging the 7ah or 17.5ah pack.

@brandongoh89005 жыл бұрын
Yes it comes with charger and you can charge it on lipo settings on a smart charger but make sure it's set on 3s and don't exceed 3.5a on the 7ah pack or 8a on the 17.5ah pack.

@@MrBumbles2 no regulator needed for your unit unless also running high draw items like a powerpole off the same battery. You will get about 25 hours runtime from the 17.5ah pack if just running the sounder.

Thanks for the video, I’m going to be running a Lowrance TI2 Elite 7 with the 3-1 transducer, what kind of run time can I expect from your 17.5 Ah FPV?
@brandongoh89005 жыл бұрын

Thanks for the quick reply, that’s the number I came up with but I wasn’t sure I was looking at the right specifications. I ordered my battery from my local dealer and look forward to installing it. I saw on one video during storage they installed I believe a female connector over the male coming from the lowrance to protect the connection from corrosion. What is the part number of that connector. Once again thanks.

One way I was shown was to paint the surface then lay the fiberglass on flat as possible making sure to get all you air bubbles out. Then you impregnate the fiberglass further from the top again making sure to get all the air bubbles out.

LiFePo4 3S safe voltage range is 8.4V - 10.8V & Li-Ion 3S safe voltage range is 8.4V - 12.6V. Specs taken from your website for both FPV-POWER 7AH & 17.5AH KAYAK BATTERY Voltage: 7.5-12.6V So I believe the setting in your instruction ought to be Li-Ion 3S. Do correct me if I'm wrong.
