Beautiful car! It’s a shame that they have those ugly wheels though.

Aftermarket keys are a complete ripoff. The stock keys will easily get you up to the 24” mark from center hub to fender and you NEVER go past 24” by cranking the torsion bars because you’ll destroy your axels if you do. Aftermarket keys literally do nothing except take money from your pocket

2:33 dude… You NEVER crank on the torsion bar keys with the truck on the ground, omg… you should always have the front tires off of the ground. Secondly, cranking the stock keys and putting new ones on puts the exact same strain on the torsion bars. You aren’t helping ride quality or torsion bar life. At the end of the day you’re still just twisting the bar and the only thing the new keys do is give you the ability to twist the bar MORE than stock keys. No matter how you do it, twisting the torsion bars will always make for a worse ride

Gotta say, provided you’re doing this on a stopwatch, I run a Tazer setup not just for being able to activate a hood alarm, turn off DRLs, adjust for winch use, calibrate tire size with fuel efficiency, etc, it does have the ability to measure 0-60 and 60-0. That said, I am also running a daily setup of recovery gear, internal storage rack, sub enclose and no rear seat (actually pointless unless you have kids anyways) BUT have a heavy winch, steel bumpers front and rear, TeraFlex HD tire carrier, full undercarriage skid plates, etc so I started at 4500lbs and now at 5100lbs, also running a 4” TeraFlex lift, 35x12s and some old school bullet hole wheels that are functional and have a classic look… all said and done with a 2.0L turbo (originally, with no re-gear), my 0-60 is 8.0 on the dot. Now I have put a Holley InTech CAI, K&N short (muffler delete) exhaust and a bigger turbo (Garrett G25-500) with a better fuel management setup and TurboSmart BOV… going from 280hp/296tq, now at 402hp/477tq, my times (nothing removed from my setup), I am clocking 5.5 sec 0-60 (which is by far faster than my rear mount turbo NB2 MX5 at 6.3 sec… a vehicle that setup for track at barely 2200lbs). You can see both of these setups on my IGs: @DarkhorseJL and @FallenMX5 Thing I want to point out, a major comparison here, is my wheel/tire setup is Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT on 17”ProComp Series 69 and total 88lbs per corner and spare. Those cheap tires they have and the generic Moto wheels (not knowing size but minimum 17s) are mostly aesthetic and spent more on the Motos than the tires which I was surprised they hadn’t put on an angry eye grille at this point. 😂😂😂. You should come try my Jeep for a good comparison on what a 2.0T can really do and not be Hellcat, Demon or HEMI swapped.

Best hummer is H1 no questions asked. Then I would argue that the H3 alpha (suv) would be 2nd place just for the wheelbase. Finally the H3T alpha. And then any regular H3 series or any H2. I would love GM to go back on the fuel hummers and make a nice H3T with a 6 speed and portals (like the H1). 8 speed is a crap transmission and the 10 gear is too much for an offroad vehicle. 6 speed is the sweet spot. And they still have the 6L90 (and probably some 6.0 L96 vortecs or some amazing 6.2L LT engines) to use. But I would rather have a 2010 hummer H3 than a 2010 jeep wrangler.

This is my idea of an ideal 4WD that I can even use on the moon if necessary 😊 No nonsense mod cons, no frills, simple, basic, bare bones, strong, tough, solid, easy to maintain, cheap, good looking for my tastes (yes!) Seems like it will take me anywhere (no worries, I will eventually get to my destination safely because I like to take my time and the juddering will also keep me focused and awake) I wouldn't mind buying a diesel version from Russia for 10,000 bucks 😊

82 WT Cherokee Laredo, sitting on my driveway, in the UK. Inherited from a friend, who passed away too soon (leukaemia ...). His family called it 'Freddie' as it was a nightmare, to work on. One of the VERY few Jeeps remaining from AMC's short attempt to sell Jeeps in the UK (and Europe) between 79-83. 360 with Edelbrock, NP219, AMC 20, Dana 44 front, RHD converted. Needs serious work (roof is fubar, for instance) but just can't junk it. As far as i can tell it's the only 82 Cherk still registered with the UK DMV. 'Rare', redefined.

Great Review, as a long time H2 owner I would love to get my hands on a H3T as well. BTW you both are completely wrong about the H2 being a glorified Suburban... you really need to look into the the vehicle starting from the 3 part frame that was used.

Great video. I have a question. I want to buy one here in Europe. It is a 3.7 liter 5/cilinder with 5 speed manual and front and rear lockers with only 45.000 miles (60.000 km) in white. What do you think about this purchase?

Thank you very much. I have one as well. Summer time I take off the canvas, bent down the screen and I drive a road legal openair car, what even has not got safety belts, because my one a "retired" army car. I put a diesel Mercedes engine in, since this time I don't have any issues with ignition system and carburator. I day by day amaze about symplicity of this car. Symple, 7 seater, 4x4, the parts are coasts like an icecream. There are army car breaker shops here, everything is available. Cleaning: Just open the doors, and wash by same jetgun inside, as you use for outside. The doors have big pockets, 2 liter of coke is ok. Not fast. But my country is full with speed cameras as well. The UAZ's superpower is: light. This car's weight is 1500 kg. Amazingly good at offroad conditions. Sometimes I am surprised, sometimes I am scared :D Greatings from Hungary

Why does the flange of the frame that holds the OEM crossmember need to be cut when re-installing the front differential and BDS rear crossmember? Would those flanges actually get in the way of the differential itself? It's hard to tell from this video.

Reliaibility is a funny thing. This can be a well-done component what lasts forever, but if it's broken, it's FUBAR. This is kind of Porsche reliability. UAZ's reliability it's a kind of anything would be permanently broken, but she would be on the run and has her 4 x 4 operating. If it's a critical failure, it can be fixed by insulation tape, WD-40 and leftovers from yesterday's canned beer.

Najpierw piłem. Później rzuciłem picie dla heroiny. Później znowu piłem, nie brałem. Zacząłem już w podstawówce. Pamiętam jak w ostatniej klasie zarzygałem dywan dyrektora, bo na szkolnej imprezie przemyciliśmy piwa i tanie wina (tam mnie zaprowadził wzywając policję). Wtedy pierwszy raz trafiłem do Izby Dziecka. Dzisiaj to wiem. Znalazłem sobie hobby - komputery i sport (uprawiam;). I Zawsze pamiętam kim jestem, a jestem alkoholikiem i narkomanem. To "moje DNA" i już zawsze będę czujny. Od 13 lat jestem trzeźwy. 3
