for me it wasn't deleted i have seen it and yes its quite surreal to see krypton a lifeless graveyard in space not turning anymore considering i rather surprised to see it at all because it blew up like it was cosmically no more in man of steel jorel said that that until kalel was born they had not seen a natural birth in centuries then they messed with the planet core too much

The idea that Kalel went to Krypton was interesting. On his return he could have given a press conference, explaining the reasons for his absence. On this occasion he could have shown humans images of the remains of Krypton. On this he could have told humans that they were lucky to have a better world and that it must be preserved. And to think that he was ready to help humans of good will to improve the world with Kryptonian technology for example. Why didn't Synger think of this? Finally, recently the only work on Superman that I liked was Smallville. Because finally it was an original and refreshing approach to the man of steel.

This is a stunningly well done scene, and the Williams music fits it perfectly. That said... Krypton exploded. I find it lacking believability that so much of the planet is still together in its recognizable form. Also, Superman's powers come from the yellow sun of our solar system and I would presume his vulnerability to Kryptonite comes from the fact that it neutralizes those effects. Why would Kryptonite be dangerous to him back on his home planet?

Wtf this is the best deleted scene ive ever seen. Why didn't they keep this in the movie? They would have made bank off it

Okay, I have some questions. At the end of Superman 2, he promises the president he's never going to abandon them again, but in this semi sequel he almost immediately heads off to find Krypton. That never sat well with me, anyone else? Now, in this scene, he flies towards Krypton and doesn't see all the Kryptonite lacing the planet, despite his telescopic vision, and almost dies?

How could superman go back to his plant, I thought the planet blow up after he left for earth by his father .

There were plenty of other scenes that deserved the chopping block, and this was not one of them, not to mention how much money they threw away on this. So relieved we got Kevin Spacey scamming an old lady out of her fortune through years of gilf sex instead, it’s what Superman fans have always wanted

I know supergirl 1984 is part of the Reeve series of movies, but this could have been a good way to reintroduce the character by Superman finding her in a cryogenic chamber of sorts. Would give him a good reason to return and investigate a strange signal coming from the location.

What an interesting scene! I've never seen Krypton so intact! Like a whole fifth of the planet is still there! Also if the "S" is the symbol for the house of EL in this continuity, that means he saw where his family lived, but now its all radioactive.

The kryptonians build the perfect crystal spaceship, but they failed to include a autopilot AI.

Kryptonian technology is VERY different in the comics and movies. "Man of Steel" featured kyrptonians still using advanced firearms, body armor and missiles, while this crystal ship implies a technological level so advanced that the kyrptponians merely bothered with the astetic appearance of their work.

This should have been kept in the movie as it adds so much context to everything. Though I also really like this take on the crystalline nature of Kryptonian technology and really sells the idea that before Rao exploded and annihilated them that they were an incredibly advanced race.

I wasn't this disappointed in a film again until Man of Steel. Hopefully, James Gunn makes a film that understands Superman.

Plenty of missed opportunities here. They could have made it so that there was somehow an artificial intelligence being or computer which had survived in dead Krypton and after seeing Kal-El's ship, it reactivated itself and followed him as he took off back home to Earth. Later on, that A.I. could have developed into Brainiac and Superman had to defend Earth from it. That could have been set-up as the idea for the movie's sequel

There is only one mistake when they made this scene. Can anyone else guess what is wrong with this scene?

Let's face it, this scene alone wouldn't have saved this movie, you all know why you didn't like it. If it had a better story and dropped the whole fatherless kid BS, it would have been much better. And once again having Luther doing the "gotta get more land" crap was just boring and dated by this point. GIVE HIM SOMETHING TO DO.

Big issue with this is that kryptonite wasnt harmful on the home planet or everyone wojld have been dead and there would t even have been a civilization, it didnt become harmful until it was under a different sun

Surely such an advanced civilisation, capable of inter stellar fight, should have ships capable of withstanding all forms of radiation?

Since this movie takes place after the Christopher Reeve movies, Superman should know about the existence of kryptonite. So, why isn't the ship shielded against different from of radiation?

This movie was just one big bucket of sad. You need to balance melodrama like this out with more positive, fun elements if you’re going to make a good superhero film. And this movie had nothing happy or fun about it. Huge misfire.
