Hey, i actually have Smoothing turned on instead of Vsync, which helps stabilize your RoF if like me you have an older CPU that sometimes dips below 60fps in larger fights I am going to be finally getting rid of my old R5 2600 in the next few days and switching to a 5600x which should solve most of my fps problems for a while i hope 😎

yeah this base loves valk drop point holds as vanu did here.. once you have the point you just shoot anyone trying to jump the gaps from either direction and it's pretty much a done deal

there was a brief period of time where they experimented with simply deactivating it as a base, which was a tacit admission of this in a way tbw atleast when the rock bridge between it and crown existed it was more vulnerable to attack and didn't end up being a gigantic quagmire all the time.. sometimes there were actually great 3-way fights with infantry coming up the hill from ceres hydro aswell then again, those bridge fights also had a tendency to turn into sniper shooting galleries or sometimes would just be bombarded with bulldog or HESH spam so..

Yeah that's true, although for this fight i was mainly trying to stick with the larger NC groups wherever they went to be where the action was that being said, i really do wish the map of the containment sites were redone somehow to better highlight the various underground pathways of the base thanks for watching!

haha yeah, i guess because i never have chat on or run in platoons much it must seem that way.. introverted is probably right, but not so much sad; you'll see me do my little bunny hops down hills or stairs and so on because i always feel content and at home in a fight anywhere on Auraxis the calmness i guess comes from the fact that i am a former stoner that for many years found a sort of meditative quality to getting lost in a big fight somewhere in all the 1's and 0's bouncing around, and that mindset kinda stuck with me ever since i did the platoon and outfit op thing many times over the years, starting with DVS way back in beta, but now i just mainly enjoy fighting for whatever faction i am playing as, in whatever way a HA is most useful to them i do sometimes miss the more organized tactical gameplay you get with a well run platoon/outfit though all that being said, i'm glad you get something positive out of watching. I always figured these moments in PS2 were only worth recording if someone enjoyed watching them cheers!

haha yeah, i switch factions alot and it helps me correctly identify enemies in a timely fashion

i actually love being heavy on open ground tbh, it's why I love northern Indar so much.. it's challenging because you are at a disadvantage, but that just means it's good practice trees and rock formations are your best friends when you're a heavy on open ground

the NC6A GODSAW is a variant of the regular NC6A you get as a reward for completing the Master LMG directive, and it has an alternate firing mode with armor piercing rounds doesn't do a ton of damage but it does come in handy sometimes

both of those outfits have some solid players that keep me on my toes the laggers though.. but with Connery in the shape its in these days its no surprise to see west coast players with high pings on Emerald

yeah true, i think it offers an experience lots of people didn't know they were missing out on nothing else comes close in terms of large scale combined arms play

haha i am terrible at flying ESFs, but i do enjoy shooting them down with Anti-Air MAX's i used to do Burster MAX vids using a survival spec loadout with ammo printer and emergency repair implants, i may start doing those again it's challenging and fun creating areas of denial for air units without relying on a pocket engineer to keep you alive

i know how that feels, i went through periods of time since 2012 where i quit for a few years out of boredom and then came back again were you playing on PC or PS4?

game is still able to fill a continent to max pop during prime time a few nights of the week but yeah outside of that it can be pretty dead

it still is for me but tbh it can take time to find decent 50/50 pop fights that don't end in like 2 minutes

it used to be like that for me with NC, but if you give it enough time you will adapt to playing as the other factions i use the hud marker colors to help my brain remember subconsciously; i always change whatever faction i am playing as to the same color of light blue and then other two enemy factions both as red.. seems to help with the audible side of things aswell somehow, although i still get fooled from time to time lol

base leapfrogging to carry out pre-cap ops is used frequently by well organized outfits believe it or not and it's super handy when random players do it on a whim, especially during alerts where it can speed up a lattice advance greatly when every minute counts, same with thoughtful sundie placement you guys are the real MVPs on Auraxis while LAs and HAs get all the glory tbh, and the reason i'll go out of my way to defend someones well placed sundie or player base so thank you for keeping that side of the game alive

good call, i had turned it off briefly for a day or two while making this video to test some different settings and see how it affected my max frame rate in all honesty what i really need to do is ditch my aging R5 2600 and move up to either a 5600x or spring for a 5800x3d

@@ARLIOZthere are some really great bases to fight in on Hossin.. I'm not sure why some people don't like it, i think it has to do with the huge trees everywhere but that's just a guess enjoy!

yeahhh i really should get around to using it more, it takes a bit of adjustment to the prolonged equip time compared to regular sidearms, but it's probably worth it. and yeah I used to use the M2 a whole lot back when player counts were higher and field battles were more commonplace; it really excels in open fights with a 2x or 3.4 on it. My main Drauglin from Connery has probably twice as many kills on the older M1 before it was replaced with the M2. I still don't know what the difference is between the two tbh, besides the M1s all black paint scheme it seems like all heavy mains go through a time period where they use the M2 alot, it really is a great weapon for headshots and what not.. i still love the EM6 more than any other LMG these days

not a subscriber afaik, but yes a veteran. I prefer the EM6 because i like engaging from longer ranges, and i don't always change my loadout from one base to the next. As for the emissary, that's a good question.. i've been using it on and off for a while and find it has its uses but should probably go back to the commie I don't really care for the Jackhammer for a primary even in bases like this, although i could use it as my secondary and probably should tbh I keep the deci on hand at all times because i am trying to get MAX kills for the HA directive, but i also find it invaluable for dealing with armor thanks for watching

oh man, I loved and hated that base lol... right where solus nature complex is now iirc it was so much fun to defend watching streams of players try to jump down into that big opening room with the elevators

add it to the long list i suppose we will have to wait and see what the new management change brings in the future, if anything

hey, you still play these days?

My schedules nowadays is very hectic. As to say I can’t fit video game time into my schedule at all : work, responsibilities and many others things that falls under words that are outside of my vocabulary. That is, during December and July I have about 1-2 to 3 weeks at most, to play Planetside, so I surely don’t miss it. Such periods length depends on how busy I am, knowing I would hardly say no. What is sure, is that my spirit to play Planetside 2 isn’t dead. I still feel drawn toward this game, whether I can or cannot play it. This is mainly caused by me, wanting to play with old returning players, even though I never met them. I don’t feel dried up at all, I don’t know what really fuels me to play it, but I know that the community plays a big role in it. The more time passes, the more my desire to play this game is stripped naked of false reasons. As an example, I thought what made this game attractive to me was new content, New contents meant new experiences. But since the Bastion update, there hasn’t been any substantial content added to the game. However, my desire to play still remained, so the contents was disqualified from my list of motivations. Before that when the colossus update started to worn out, I came back to the start : I still don’t know why I like this game. What remains are humans. So I’m convinced that the community is essentially what makes up a game life span. I found a very niche thing. I like to benefits new players from my experience by teaching them this game. Planetside 2 has a big learning curve, I found online. True, from my observations. I take players one on one, I think the teaching is more efficient when it’s done that way, take your time or rather I should say, his time. It doesn’t always work, some give up willingly, some never logged on after, a thousand reasons exist. But I don’t fall into despair, nor do I tire of these unsuccessful encounters because. I’ve been told once « now isn’t the time to harvest ». And it’s true ! It means I may not be playing Planetside anymore, or even alive if these players I taught will come to like it. It will happen whether I know it or not. But it will ! Last time I logged on was in January 2023, toward the end of this month I had to go back to reality.

i was once in GLSD on my NC main on Connery before i quit for a few years in the mid 2010's i may look at joining an outfit soon, and 2RAF is a great TR outfit i never know when i'll have time to log in to play with the way my work schedule usually goes, so i often miss tuesday nights i do miss doing group ops, though

you healed me a few times iirc.. was a tough fight
