Thanks Egor. Awesome footage. No way this can ever be comparable to the actual experience. How graceful are these creatures of the deep and you guys are just swimming along right next to them....

Dive Talk sent me 🙂 You've just gained another subscriber! :) I'm a scuba diver, would live to dive Silfra. Those walls look so dramatic! The visibility is simply astounding 😳 What a cool place to dive. Best regards, Egor!

Really an amazing place to dive. I also thought the viz was incredible that day but guess what.. apparently it was not. So you can imagine what it is like on a "good viz" day. But year highly recommend diving the Silfra at least once.. whether your freedive or scuba, the place is incredible and very unique.

Do you only free dive? I’m curious to know, man I know I just commented a minute ago about wanting to know more about what you do, please try adding in some info because I start a video and I’m hooked instantly but I’d like to know where you are what exactly you’re doing, I’m telling you my friend I’m betting anyone that sees these will also want more. If you’re not interested in giving more info that’s ok, I’ll be happy to get what I can. Thank you!

I will take the feedback into account :) I used to live in Canada and now live in Bermuda. We used to get out and freedive under ice with some buddies on a regular basis but now most of my diving is done in much warmer waters.. but as I said I am hoping to get out there this year to do some ice diving in Tobermory in northern Ontario. And yes, I only freedive. I can scuba but my interest and passion are definitely in freediving. It fees more natural and liberating. Plus it is more of a sport and something you can improve your skills in.

I also found your channel from the dove talk guys, man you are amazing! I’ve only just started to watch your videos but I’m going to watch all of them. I’m going to suggest to you that you make them longer, I want to see more of what you’re doing, you could even add some commentary, if you haven’t already. Since I just started I don’t know but I think you are incredible and I believe people want to hear about how you learned and just everything you can tell us about these amazing places you go to. Thank you my friend and I’m hoping that the struggles your people, and the Ukrainian people will be safe during this difficult time. Keep up the videos, I’ll be watching 😊

Thank you for the kind words and for the feedback ! I'll be posting some new content soon (I have been slacking lately). I haven't done any proper ice diving in some time but definitely planning on getting out there this February to finally dive under ice. I appreciate the kind words about Russia/Ukraine. Terrible what is happening over there and hoping that there will be peace soon and that the Russian dictator and his government get what they deserve.

@egornesterenko4782 Жыл бұрын
Yes they do. You can google Freedive Iceland. The guy who runs it provides you with all of the necessary gear when you sign up for the dive in the Silfra. The other option is to do a snorkeling outting in a drysuit but of course that means you can't dive down.. which is not as much fun as freediving :)

These guys took a real set of tiger sharks jaws and made a mold, then made a set out of steel to test real bite details of the bite, they took a huge leg of lamb, and had the jaws clamp down with the actual pressure a real shark would bite at, the leg of lamb was completely severed, and it was as clean as if you took a machete and chopped down with a full hard swing, you can see how easily a tiger can chomp the leg off a human.
@egornesterenko4782 Жыл бұрын
Of course... which is why there are safety precautions and we do these things in the safest way possible. When you have a giant marlin head out in the water, the sharks are much more interested in that than in the people. But to your point, of course tigers can do some serious damage and are not to be taken lightly.

You know, you hear this a lot in the freediving community but this sport unlike many others doesn't really have an age limit. Case in point, my coach for one of my more advanced courses was Aharon Solomons.. he is in his 80s and he still freedives and has a VERY impressive breath hold. Just goes to show that with some training I'm sure you get back to (or close) the same level you were in your 20s.
