Thank you, Dennis. You've given me some good ideas

Love the video and narration. Perhaps I missed it but the way you attached the fence clamps to the fence is a little vague? All this can be easily done without a CNC machine or planer as well. You can make the 0 clearance cut for the blade by tacking a miter slot runner to the bottom of the table and running it through half way. Then if you want a center cut to allow for angling the table down you could hog out the spot where the cut stops. I would design it that way which means removing the table for blade changes but no CNC or precut blade line necessary. A table saw could make the 1/8 inch blade cut as well if you did want to have the slot in front of the blade to make blade changes easier. Also you should chamfer or round over the bottom edge of the fence to allow for sawdust and chips. You can always use a piece of half inch MDF clamped to the fence if you are cutting something super thin that is thinner than the chamfer or round over clearance. Also, I know this vid is a couple years old and I can't expect a reply at this point, but should the fence be to the left or right of the cutting edge of the blade? Probably depends like on a table saw, but I'm a bit of a newbie and I'm just wondering what best practice is for fence position. I'm in the middle of building a band saw table and fence so I came here for some ideas. I really like the idea of side guides for the fence and clamps as apposed to T-track or runners in grooves on the table. Keeps it nice and square so one doesn't have to fiddle around with squaring each end of the fence due to the sloppy tolerances in T-track or routed slots. Thanks for the great video! I'm subscribed.

I purchased 3 walking sticks from a VA retail store in Houston. 2 went to a male nurse for him and a friend to use when hiking. Mine I use everyday and for protection.

Now, Master Nolan, that's one good solid stick, sir. You also thinkin' of adding some form of brass or copper ring on the bottom end to keep them wood fibres from splayin' out.? Could hold the thing together well. Nice work, sir!

I make all my sticks without an end cap. I leave them long so people can cut the off to suit their height. I used to make them at custom lengths but found most buyers wanted either longer or shorter. So, I now make the all from 56 to 58" long so the customer can cut off as need to size. Also saves them some money by me not putting in Dexter cost for a tip of some kind. Thanks for your comment.

Try round rubbers the same as what’s at the end of a pencil, I think that would give you very good grip on the stick

@ eBay pencil top Eraser, if you type that into your phone computer it will take you to the website and there’s a variety to choose from, I think it will give excellent grip with a moist hand on a warm day hiking trails ,

One of the many wonderful promises of God is that where two or more are gathered in the name of Jesus he will be there as well. We all may be in cyberspace posting intercessions at various places and times but I know it’s heard when we want to do God’s will and we worship him. Thank you for taking the time to teach. I stumbled across your channel the other day while I was walking a trail. Figured this would be an excellent start into a journey of woodworking

Sorry it took so long to reply, Mike. The company where I bought my machine is no longer in business. I have been looking for one that I can recommend that is similar to the one I use. I can't find one that I can truly recommend right now. I will let you know when I find a good one. I would not recommend putting one together with spare parts as is seen all over KZbin. Thanks for your comment.
