I have the 605 & 705, the image quality is very similar. However the 705 is an older camera which appears to have been abandoned by canon and I also find the 605 slightly better in low light with better 4:2:2 codecs.. but the 705 is generally more robust and better built, for tripod work the 705 is my go-to camera, for ‘on the run jobs’ I use the 605. Latency can be adjusted in OBS to match the picture. I'd suggest doing some tests. Personally I wouldn't attempt this for anything over a one camera broadcast. In theory it will work, but you'll find it'll get very tricky to switch between cameras. Instead (if you have the budget) I'd be looking at the ATEM Mini (PRO or Extreme) setup where you can add up to 4 or 8 cameras and cut between them at the push of a button. OBS sees the ATEM as a webcam.. much easier way.

Hi Craig, this one was shot with the XF705 and the 2nd angle in the church was actually shot with an XA55.

3dB gain is the minimum when shooting manual in WDR profile with the XF705 (it's +2.5dB in auto) with the XF605 the minimum is 0dB

The audio source should kick in automatically. Verify that you've sound when listening with headphones via the camera headphone jack. Then confirm those same channels are configured in the output settings within the IP streaming settings. Hope this helps.

My sentiments exactly. If you compare BMD Ursa Broadcast and Sony PMW500, the latter isn't bearable at 9dB gain, whereas 12dB on the Ursa is stil good enough for broadcast.
