Hi, I have a question. Is it possible with a picture of a wheel for e.g. to vectorize a section on it, rather than the whole image? so would it be possible to have the wheel set to 3mm high and to pull the centre (or select an inner section to 1.5?

I would have used pyramid and two tubes, one for the holes and the other (smaller radius) for the uncut base. The advantage is the gaps between hexagons remains the same regardless of depth.

=) Feel free to ask questions any time. 👍 You are correct that I used the basic Tinkercad shapes to make the "tool" I wanted for cutting. It always looks easy when I roll it out, but I tried a lot of variations before I finally published that. =) If you want a tool that allows drawing, I recommend Sketchup. You can also group your object in tinkercad then click multi-color in the color settings of the object, then export as a .obj file. Then in windows open that .obj with Microsoft's 3D builder, It will ask for a library (obj.mtl) which will be included with your .obj file. Then in 3D Builder you save the file as .3mf which you can use in bambu studio, with all the design colors in place.
@HLModTech

Interesting. Adds an extra step using 3D builder, but I will give it a try. Are you suggesting it might get rid of the error I am seeing with my preferred design?
@HLModTech
@HLModTech 6 күн бұрын
On Windows 11 you cannot snag 3D builder anymore. I booted up an old machine and got in, opened as you stated, saved as a 3MF and it loaded... but did not have the colors and was not paintable. I will try again later as I have some projects to do... Thanks for the tip and let me know if maybe I missed something.

Hello. I want to make changes to the marlin software of my 3D printer that I made, but my PC's hard disk is broken, that is, the marlin codes that I saved on my printer are deleted. I can't write the codes again. Is there a solution to copy the Arduino to the PC? (I will just add bltouch)

Sorry, I have no idea about that. I have heard of software that can retrieve files from a broken hard drive, but it is hit and miss. I would hate to see a 3D printer break because the file that was recovered had bad data in it.
