Jonathan brother, I need to spend more campfire time with you. Rabbitstick 24 was a missed opportunity on my part to get to know you better. I appreciate the content you put out there. This video was some real $h!t! I am happy to call you a brother, children of Christ, washed in the blood and saved. If your willing, when our paths cross again, I would love to have some campfire fellowship.

Well it just takes time and patience, you can get it!
@firehanshg8 күн бұрын
What I can see is that you need to change your string. You could use paracord and get your shoes closer to the drill bits, or you could straighten your drill bit and make it smooth. You could also use ivy drill sets and just stick to one type of wood set. Try to drill up rather than down and put a bit more pressure on your fishing strings. You could also try getting some oxygen in your lungs, as you are out of breath. etc. why don't you just carve a fennel shape type of spindle. tc.

When I was on the Boundry Waters in February we carried our canteens around our necks in a thermal container- we stuffed them in our jackets to keep them from freezing.. Thinking about doing the same thing with the Ti UltraPress.. I think that would work

Man that’s a good idea! Throw it on a breakaway lanyard being on the water and call it good to go!

I did a similar kit, but it is based around the Self Reliance Outfitters bottle bag, which is big enough to also hold the Geopress inside the mill bank bag.

I have the Titanium Grail and love it. However, filters freeze in the winter here in W.V. I am working on something better for freezing temps that can be left in the car. It includes a filter bag like you showed. It's still a work in progress.
@TheBeardedBurton20 күн бұрын
It’s definitely a pain but even Grayl says their filter can go through 2 freezes before not working. The key is to get as much water as you can out of it and keep it insulated. I will test this with an old filer when the temps drop, to see how it works.
@LastChanceKnives19 күн бұрын
@@TheBeardedBurton As long as the filter is completely dry I don't think cold weather will affect it at all. I am thinking about using something like a coffee filter after the filter bag and then either tablets of boiling so that there is nothing to freeze. Another option is the local Walmart had a closeout on Sawyer minis in a drink bottle for $5 each. I could leave a new one in the vehicle kit without having to worry about an expensive Grail. I love my Grail and want to use it, not leave it in the car.
@TheBeardedBurton19 күн бұрын
@LastChanceKnives for sure! Those are great options!!

@TheBeardedBurton22 күн бұрын
Thanks for the sub, really appreciate it! So this thing is shockingly small packed up. The bad it comes in is about the size of a 5L dry bag and it squishes down even smaller. I keep a bag of stakes and cord in it and it’s still very compact
