Forgive the awkward nature of this, but I came here after watching the TV movie In the Line of Duty. One of them anyhow. There are several lol. I was so struck by the events dramatized in that film that I began looking up what I could online. Admittedly, I began to believe that it was fiction because I was coming up short. Then again, it was 1985. There wouldn't be a huge internet footprint. Soon, I realized that the TV movie changed the name of the murderer to Johnnie Moore. Don't know why they would protect his identity but that was the problem. Thank you for shedding some light on this. It's beyond heinous, shocking to this day. All should commend Susan Snow for her advocacy, and her willingness to share her story. Her perspective on this is valuable. I wonder what her thoughts on that tv movie are, or were? Did it do any justice to her and her loved ones? Was Dean Stockwell's character a real detective or a representation of Detective William's colleagues? I digress, thanks again for the interview. Edit: She addressed the movie, I commented too early! Thanks again.

It's always great to listen to you and Rybicki sharing stories. :) Turn that bar into a cop bar and you'll get lots of book ideas from their stories, and their woes. The tip I learned, tending bar at a science fiction conference, is to always use a bottle opener on twist off beer caps. If you use your hand, you'll soon be sorry. What you need is one of those mats that tellers use, to lessen foot fatigue. And hire a young person to do the heavy lifting, and low bending, as you teach him or her the art of bartending. Then you can hang out to hear the cop stories and be a substitute bartender, when needed. Cheers. Jon in rural BC, Canada

I’m sorry but the lack of evidence surrounding the case already is staggering. The NYPD found the bag in the park earlier in the same day, then they see him later on wearing it?

Wait, a million people are out walking around at 6:30am??… oh I see he corrected it because from the footage it was still fairly quiet and he did the deed and didn’t cause a panic. This is why it’s hard for me to believe the Feds brought a terrorism charge. He targeted one man and left peacefully. He was not a mass shooter.

You might not have as many service calls off there are beat cops on every corner, you would be dealing with more house calls, which are being dealt with regardless, beat cops prevent more crime than they respond to or investigate, you see the results in a broad decrease in crime over longer periods with beat cops, it's the same with broken window policing, you arrest for the small crimes, it's statistically shown too lower crime rates,

Not only did the SS drop the ball, but a State Police Sniper did. As soon as the rifle came out, bullets should have been flying. You don't second guess what a person's intent is when a perdon who is running for office is present
