Her crimson hair taunts my soul. Her sweet scent stabs me from the inside. I can hear her whisper in a heavy metal concert. I can pretend I'm not hurt. I can shove it down, cover it with spackle. But my small wound will only get larger. Life is chemicals reacting to each other. Mine are poisonous.

My grandmother had Alzheimers.. she couldn't remember who i was for 7 years... then a week before she passed... after feeding her breakfast... I sat talking with her.. and as i got up to leave, I asked her if she knew who i was and she said "you're my Jessie" and I replied "i love you grandma" I then smiled and walked out.. dropped the dishes in the sink and hitnmy knees. I cried like a baby. I had already lost my parents before she got sick so she was all i had left. 4 days later she started going down hill. She had congestive heart failure.. thats what killed her eventually. Its been 4 years now... I miss her and my mom so much. Cancer and Alzheimers take so much...

Some of you guys have asked me why I added 2 rather long clips of Tony's father in this video, which had no proper relevance to the edit. I merely added them as they reminded me of my dear grandfather, who had dementia himself and acted strikingly similar to Ray in After Life. My grandpa used to finish up random childhood nursery rhymes we sang to him, even though he could not even remember our names. And whenever he did remember our names, those moments were very emotional for us all, and he always made the funniest remarks that cheered us up. Although for so long I whined about how I lost him due to his dementia 3 years ago, during those moments I still knew a part of his former self was always there, as suggested by those clips.

@@DaveB-gm9pj my Mammy had vascular dementia and was bedridden for the last seven years of which my older brother cared for her with a little help from me. We covered her bedroom in photos and memories of her life and it was very helpful to prompt and remind her of her life and her family. She died at the age of 97 surrounded by love but the hard fact is that we had the time to do that and most people don't. whatever you do I am sure it will be for the best and I wish you and your wife all the best for the future God bless you all Kieran Kelly

I can’t really say anything other than I sympathize with you. Any more than that is needless I believe. Though your love and grief over your grandfather permeates throughout this edit and through your words. In a way, I can empathize with your mental state. All I can say is that may your grandpa be happy and well wherever he is and that I hope you’ll be proud of yourself as much as your grandfather is. This was a great edit. Take your time. - Asterian, a fan〜☆

I haven't felt more depressed while watching the show, or hearing about the first time your grandfather died. I can really tell what he meant, means actually, to you if you've made such a beauty. Hope your grandpa does rest in power, sincerely from all your viewers. Other than that, After Life is a fucking genius show, one of the best I've ever seen. If you haven't seen it, go watch it right now. This edit sums up the show and the music connects so well. Good job Iasonas. I hope we have many more gems like these incoming.
