Watertown is one of my favourite Sinatra albums. I've always felt it had extra potential to reach a wider audience. Discovering this live set has been magical. Fuck you, made me cry. Big love x

Also covered by Cake. Sinatra's boldest concept album, hated at the time of it's release, is finally getting some love.

Beautiful version of this classic.

Watertown is Frank's greatest concept album - and he invented the concept album, so that should make it the greatest concept album of all time if you ask me.
@Hal9000ize4 жыл бұрын
Would you say Pet Sounds is a concept album?
@TheStockwell3 жыл бұрын
@@Hal9000ize I wouldn't. It's a great collection of some very good songs, but it doesn't have a central theme trying them all together.
@TheStockwell3 жыл бұрын
It's the most unusual and riskiest thing he ever did. It went nowhere with his fans or reviewers. It's failure gave Sinatra enough reason to hang up the towel and retire - if only temporarily - fifteen months after the album was released.

I love this! It's such a beautiful song but when I heard the Sinatra version I couldn't get past the pillowy orchestra music. The way you played it is cool.

Great work! I love that theres a 3 piece rock band out there covering such an obscure album, just got into it myself and its quickly become a favourite.

This is not a cover at all.. but it does have the lyric "send me an angel right now" from the Real Life song, for some reason.
@NuevaRomay12 жыл бұрын
ok, i love it anyway...
@TheStockwell12 жыл бұрын
It wasn't on the original album, only reissues. It's not bad as a stand-alone song but it doesn't really add to the story the album is telling. The new 2010 goes back to the original album's layout, ending with "The Train."

Hey! What gives? This has been an idea of mine for a while. Its great that you actually went through with it. I imagine most audience members were confused.
