So we recommend to use them in pair, when one is supplying air, the other one is extracting the air to make the air balance. ERV is a mechanical ventilation system, to bring fresh air from outside and extract stale air from inside, we know there is temperature and humidity difference between outdoor and indoor air, Winter and Summer. These 2 air streams(with temp&humi. difference) came across enthalpy heat exchanger, then the heat can be exchanged from the warm air to cold air side, and the moisture can be transferred from the wet air to dry air side without touching, this process is called energy recovery. So yes, it can remove certain moisture from your indoor air. In addition, our ERV can interlock with a humidity sensor(optional purchase from us), once the sensor detects the indoor humidity level exceeds our setting value(for example: 65% we set), the ERV will run at highest speed to bring down the indoor humidity.
