I just don't get it, wouldn't that eliminate all ofher Mortys and rather mess with all alternate realities, or does he he mean just the 1s Morty prestiged to? 🤔 I think the reason Rick purposely made it *NOT* a save point, because it would have allowed Morty to supercede Rick's ability to control him and overide Rick's own inventions. In other words that was too much power for Morty to have, so Rick had no choice but to design it differently. Always one step ahead. The vat story was just a good cover.

I'm starting to think that this Rick was the Rick that was never buried in the backyard. He knew how to make those other morties theoretical. Maybe before this Rick,"died", and was buried in the backyard that many seasons ago, he created a save point. That's another way of Rick here saying that I know how to turn stuff back to normal. This was my interpretation of this scene. This interpretation could be way off though or not at all.

That moment when you rewatch this scene and remember afterwards where it’s shown that Morty’s are created and you realize Rick never actually “undid” anything. He doesn’t respect time travel so there was no “save point” or “theoretical Morty’s”. He just painfully transported morty to a universe where he did everything to everyone and was going to get his comeuppance. Then he pulled the fake vat of acid gag and he and morty left for a different universe again.
