Very fortunate to live in Frazier Park. Another scenic hike is Frazier Mountain Lookout! Love it up there.

If it rains, do you just pull your bivy over your head? Or do you need this thing to be under cover?
@josephbohme79174 жыл бұрын
MOUNT PIE NOSE really, what spaish have you learned while being a resident of California. Ask a local Mexican how to pronounce Pinos with accent over n Peen yos.

How could u stay dri with no rain fly , wish u would of show which tarp works with it , I understand they make a.rainfly but must be rare
@nicholasromano14224 жыл бұрын
Rain fly is easy to purchase and a cinch to set up. It actually can all pack into the IBNS bag and has plenty of vestibule space for gear cover with decent ventilation

And here I thought the liberal capital utopia of California was insect and tick free. As well as crime free, everybody pays their bills, pays for their own food, basically it's all rainbows and unicorns. Who knew?

Hey, I see ya stopped posting Videos. Good work nevertheless. Enjoyed the San Luis Hike, this one, and the Pinos one. Doing all 3 now. Thanks for the work. I know it takes time.

Thank you for the feedback! School got super busy so that took over all of my time. However, I am graduating this spring, so I should be back to making videos soon!

How is the hiking at Hart park
@untamedcalifornia64976 жыл бұрын
Locally, it is a nice place to hike around at. I always use it as a way to get ready for the summer months of Sierra hiking.

How far is the hike to the top?
@untamedcalifornia64976 жыл бұрын
It is about 1.8 miles from the trailhead.

Untamed California thanks! Is there a path guide to the top? We’re planning to hike at night to shoot the Milky Way.

This is the video that made me purchase the tent. Still on the fence about the rain fly. A tarp seems better.
@untamedcalifornia64976 жыл бұрын
The rainfly does add a good bit of weight. Since we made the video, we have been messing around with using this in a tarp combo, and will be using that this summer. We hope you enjoy it as much as we have! -Zach

if you used just the bivy and this tent didn't it fill with water in the rain?
@untamedcalifornia64977 жыл бұрын
Catoma has a rainfly for the IBNS that can be purchased separately. However, we always carry tarps on us, so we went that route.

Your focus was not only on saving money, but also quick meals. Seems like you are in a hurry. I do quick meals too, but also am willing to do some food prep out on the trail and end up with a healthier and tastier meal.

Bear Canister. a Bear would be in that in 2 seconds. a bear can put their teeth thru 1/4 inch aluminum
@berniesbend7 жыл бұрын
Bear canisters are the law in some places especially where trees are few and far between to hang food in. Park and forest rangers will turn you around if they check and find you hiking with food and you don't have one. In addition to being difficult for bears to open they also stop food odor which attracts bears.
