My shutter after repair, mirror only gohalfway and stop. Take out battery and put in, only can click shutter one time and error, cannot shutter anymore. Pls help

my d3100 suddenly stopped focusing 2 years ago....and i put it aside... but is it possible all my 3 lenses to have a bad motor? 18-55 ,35mm and sigma 18-200? it does not autofocus in any mode ...and the metering lamp does not go on never

I have the same problema, the camera starts a countdown from 30 sec.and then it shoots but there's no photo. I tried with another lens 18-55 and the problem subsists!

Looks like you swapped in a new motor and gear assembly. Is it possible to replace the gear on my existing motor with a gear they sell on eBay for this purpose? Any timing of the gear to the shaft?

Hello, sorry for the inconvenience. I have a Nikkon d90 that had a similar problem. They repaired the mirror mechanism. Now it works fine when it is in manual and video, but when it is in full automatic the photos come out dark
